Rukmini woke up with a jolt. She had to act to be fallen asleep as she heard the footsteps as she had known whom they belonged to. She, after making sure that her eldest brother had taken his leave, quickly made her way towards the small temple of Padmanabha, glowing with the subtle golden rays of the lamp that was kindled by her ,
accompanied by the silvery rays of the moon , inside her chamber. She carefully took her steps, watching the lamp in front of Jagannath dwindling as being perturbed with the gusts of winds that entered in her chamber. She oiled the lamp and covered it to prevent it from getting extinguished as she had taken an oath to stand resilient among the storms that her life had been going through, recently. Neither did she receive the tiniest thing called hope, or specifically any report regarding the arrival of the brahmin, Sunand; nor she had any further strength to drag her body to the temple and find it out for herself, if there were any news regarding her fate.
Vaidarbhi found her earthly body being dragged towards the small temple of Padmalochana, her red henna-tinted palms, greasy by the oil, to fold upon seeing Lakshmipati, as she shook her head, her lotus-peepers tired of shedding tears vigorously, she was trying hard to hold them back, but she failed miserably as she had thrown her body in front of the holy idol of Mahavishnu.
Rukmini muttered the Mahavishnu strotram again, her heart battling against her present,as she tried to find solace; if there was any bit of it the next day being her wedding day as she had reminded herself to visit the holy Girija temple. The day would decide whether she'd be leaving her country with her lord or she would leave her mortal body
forever." Curse my fate! Being born as a princess, I still had to be the sufferer the vile plans of getting married off to that Shishupal, the puppet of Magadhnaresh!
But ( looking into the peacock feather adoring the crown of Lord Vishnu ), what about my devotion towards you?! Wasn't my devotion, my love, my offerings towards you sincere enough , for a single moment?!
Haven't I been truthful enough to serve you, my Lord! Or is it the punishment for any sin that has been committed by me, in ignorance? Or in any previous birth? That it has lead me to this gruesome pain of being separated from you, my Lord??
I can put up with any punishment, but not to be apart from you, Oh Narayan!!
If I have sincerely served you and the great sages with immense devotion, then why should I be pushed to such a life that I've never thought of in my nightmares??
I have always cherished you and your presence, and I'd do the same for the rest of my life, only if I'm fortunate enough to serve you!! " -
She said, her voice barely above a whisper. Her beautiful face expanding like the sacred pink lotus, stained with the marks of tears, her eyes puffing up slightly as a result of being deprived of sleep for a long time as she once again did the Aarti of her lord, probably for the last time and thereafter, she went towards the balcony in front of her chamber & stared at the vast darkness, this was the complexion of her lord, wasn't it??

Near the holy river of Payoshni -
Balram had settled the mighty army of Dwarka, after having scrutinizing the palace of Vidarbha and its security system from a safe distance, keeping in mind that there might be the combined army of Magadh and Chedi, too.
After having their dinner together, Sankarshana & Krishna departed for their separate camps; it was the idea of Balram that Krishna should start the 'habit' of sleeping without his elder brother or anyone else.
" You should be prepared of having your slumber alone, Kanha. 'Cause who knows, it could be of any 'help' to start the new life that a man has to deal with, especially when they are in line of marriage! " Balram couldn't help teasing his brother, on noticing that he had already been so absorbed in admiring the palace from afar.
" Why do I have the intuition that you are not talking about only me, Dau? Have you already started dreaming about bhratijaya Revati "
Krishna wriggled one of his eyebrows." Focus on your 'mission', Kanha. You already look so indulged in admiring the palace of Vaidarbhi, that you'll need someone to break your reverie about her,it seems " Sankarshana smirked evily as he observed his dear brother getting flustered, his lotus eyes getting twinkled in a sudden joy, merely by hearing her name.
" Whoa!! Look who's blushing now, only hearing the name of his, may I mention, yet-to-be betterhalf " Balram pointed out, pulling his younger brother's cheek.
" Alright....I feel sleepy now....Good night, Dau....Have your dreams about bhratrijaya...." Krishna, who was getting too much consumed in his thoughts regarding his Shree, wanted to put an end to this embarassing conversation and went off to his tent after biding his brother a goodbye.
Upon reaching his tent, Krishna took out the scroll and on laying himself on the mattress, started reading it. With every single word, he began to fall for her....even more....his ecstasy knew no bound as his inhaled the perfume of kumkum....still lingering on the letter....which reminded him of her, and her boundless love for him....he embraced the letter as if he was holding the most precious thing in the world. Staring at the moon, he whispered-
" Your Shyam will take you soon, Shree. And I'll bring the end to all of them who are gonna come in between us, it's the time to showcase what is righteousness, and I promise you, all your aches and sufferings will come to an end by tomorrow.....I'm coming for you to make you mine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ."
