In the magnificient city of Dwaravati -

A tall, dark ,handsome raincloud-hued man with attractive lotus eyes, having beautiful peacock feathers neatly tugged in his yellowsh, floral turban having a bit little but elegant gemstones; sitting his swing, wearing a yellowish orange silk robe contrasting with his dark skin, was staring at the moon, as if he was staring at his soul; his lips were slowly getting curved into a luminous smile as he took his favourite flute and started playing it with the most soothing yet heavenly enchanting tone, thus making the whole atmosphere of his Dwarka mingle with subtle rays of moon, sufficient to embrace the beautiful city into a sound slumber.

He stopped all on a sudden as he felt a hand on his shoulder from behind and turned back to see his mother, looking at him with pure affection. Krishna immediately got down from his swing and touched his mother's feet.

" Krishna, putra, I know whom are you thinking about, but what you have told me that day,is ridiculous!
Being a woman, I completely understand her woes, putra!!! It has never been in the history of Aryavart that a single lady would have expressed her love to her beloved through letters,that too, being a princess of a vassal kingdom like Vidarbha!!! You are expecting something unearthly, putra!!! I'm telling you, go to Vidarbha & get my daughter-in-law back!!! Dwarka is incomplete without its Lakshmi!!! Putra, you are known as Janardhana, who fulfills other's wishes and rewards them for their deeds!!! Please fulfill my wish to get Vaidarbhi as my younger daughter-in-law!!! " Devaki couldn't help blurting out her wishes to her 8th womb, as she knew that her son won't let her wishes go away in vain.

Krishna, who was eagerly waiting for the brahmin and the letter to arrive at Dwarka, held his mother's palm & assurringly pressed it " Matashree, I have already told you that Vaidarbhi is not any ordinary princess, she can love her paternal family to the moon and back, but she wouldn't put up with them if she gets forced to do anything against her will. And about getting her as your daughter-in-law, I promise you that as soon as she seeks any help from Dwarka, my Narayani Sena will be at her doorstep, but Mata, I behest you to have some patience on this matter & help bhratrijaya Revati to get ready for her wedding, I'm so excited to see my Dau's marriage!!"

Devaki sighed heavily and retuned to a separate chamber where Revati was sitting alongwith Subhadra & other maids as it was a rule to stay in a separate chamber till the marriage rituals were performed while Krishna himself marched to his elder brother's chamber hurriedly for discussion of their strategy as he knew that it would be required for the abduction of Vaidarbhi.

" Are you kidding me Kanha ? Won't you spare me to have my own marriage successfully and peacefully done ? How will I manage to say these words to Revati that I shall be in Vidarbha and pop out in the pavillion right at the time of wedding only? " Balram, who was having a sound sleep, had to get up as his lil brother blew his Panchajanya right in front of his ears and cried out loud, as he cursed himself again to be happened to Krishna's elder brother, and his serpent nature hissed all on a sudden, on hearing the words of his younger brother who was busy in explaining him about the "strategy" of abducting Rukmini, that too, just two days ago his own marriage.

" Shh....Dau... Bhratrijaya must be having a good slumber...and you're waking her up by shouting... how pathetic!!! " Krishna was trying his best to calm his elder brother, growling in frustration, by keeping his hands on Balram's mouth.

Balram shove his hands away in frustration. " It's not me who is yelling deliberately, you are the one who's making a fuss in the middle of the night and you are compelling me to raise my voice!!! I'm warning you, Kanha, don't venture to break my sleep again!!! Only if it's for the abduction of Vaidarbhi, then i'm in.
But, that day mata Devaki was telling me that you'd have gone to Vidarbha if Rukmini herself calls you, but till date, there is no single sign from hers so that you can go & save her. And I've also heard that her marriage is fixed on the next full moon day which is just 4 days after. How can you be so sure that she has written anything to you & has sent it to Dwarka? " Balram couldn't but wonder about the deeds of his brother, sometimes he felt that there was no one who had known his younger brother better than him,and sometimes it was proven wrong to him as well.

" I have always kept my words,Dau.
And I'd always stick to it, but don't you think that Revati bhatrijaya would be alone after her marriage? So I've decided to give her a sister as a token of her marriage!! " Krishna retorted, a mischievous smile creeping onto his lips as he dragged his Dau out of the chamber
& his lotus eyes twinkling in anticipation and trailed towards their common chamber where both of them used to stay before fixation of Balram's marriage.

After an hour or so, a maid came to the doorstep of their chamber and told them that a Brahmin from Vidarbha had arrived at Dwarka and he was keen enough to meet Dwarkadheesh, and had requested to get allowed to pay a visit to him.

Krishna shook his head vigorously and ordered the guards to bring the Brahmin inside his room without further delay.

Sunand came inside and saw the mighty Dwarkadheesh, only to find his tears welling up in his eyes, as soon as Sunand seen him, he felt as if the protector of the universe standing in front of him, requesting him to get seated, he felt the touch of the supreme godhead, Lord Narayana as Krishna himself made up to seat & he washed the feet of the Brahmin and patted his feet with a silk cloth, and offered Sunand to have a meal at first, in spite of his constant humble words not to touch his feet.

After having a bowl of fruits, Sunand gave the letter to Krishna & said " The kingdom of Vidarbha has always been regarded as one of the most powerful and wealthy one, being one of the vassal kingdom of Aryavart; but today it is going to lose its glory, oh Dwarkadheesh. The king of Vidarbha has been under house arrest and so is our princess; prince Rukmi, alongwith Jarasandh is forcing our princess to marry off to that vile prince of Chedi against her will. Oh Keshava, she has trusted me to deliver her message to you and requested me to return with the reply. Now I urge you to save her on behalf of the entire residents of Vidarbha, oh Krishna!!! She has full faith on you that you would come and free herself and her father, my lord!! "

Krishna, who was eagerly awaiting the arrival of the message, took the scroll from the Brahmin daintily and assurred him that he would come to Vidarbha himself and with his army, he'd rescue her and her father, king Bhishmak from the clutches of Jarasandh and Rukmi.
