The next day,
The vassal, wealthy kingdom of Vidarbha woke up with the first ray of the Sun. It happened to be the wedding day of their beloved princess. The arrangements regarding this wedding were in full swing; be it the royal palace or the houses of the subjects of that land.
The subjects of the kingdom were given precious silk robes of various hues and gold coins; sweetmeats were being distributed among them too. The maids were in haste as the eldest prince, who had been coronated as their new king a couple of weeks ago; had given them every possible instruction regarding the marriage of his sister. The rest four princes were, too, engrossed in administrating and undertaking the organisations within the palace & on the outskirts of Koundinyapuram, the capital.
Rukmaratha was busy in checking and empowering the entire security system of his land, fearing any discrepancy regarding the tresspassing of the mighty brother duo of Dwarka, Vaasudev Krishna & his elder brother, Balram whom his beloved sister used to talk about. Although he was executing his duties, imposed on him by Rukmi, he couldn't deny the fact that he, still, secretely desired his sister getting married to Krishna, the person every businessman and sage, who used to visit the land of Vidarbha quite often, used to sing praises of.
Rukmakeshi and Rukmamaali were tending to the visitors, inclusive of all the powerful kings of Aryavart and the great sages, after seeking the blessings for their sister for the new life ahead her from those pious saints and directing them towards the lavish guestrooms that had been specially arranged for them.
Rukmanetra, with his newly wedded wife, princess Kasturi from one of their allied kingdoms, was in a hurry as he continued to check upon the arrangements and he was directing the maids and other servants to decor the palace entrances; the main gates and all the ways upto the marriage pavillion with the sacred pink lotuses; roses & marigolds. Divya & Chandreya were inside the royal bathroom of their beloved Rakhma, alongwith other handmaids who were prepping up the heavenly fragrant ubtan, made up of wild turmeric, sandalwood, & almond powder with the intensely enchanting rose water. The sisters made their beloved Shree smear the ubtan all over onto her chest, arms, legs, stomach and back. They rubbed the bathing treatment gently against her soft skin. The other maids were divided in two groups, the one who were applying the red henna onto her palms and fanning it continuously and the other one who were given the task of washing her lustrous, silky tresses by the hairwash powder made by the powders of soapnuts & red hibiscus.
After getting her ready to take a bath, they poured in the milk onto her body and rubbed her delicate skin with it, carefully not to cause any scratch onto her skin; followed by washing off her hairs and drying them with the fumes of freshly burnt herbs. As Rukmini took her bath by diving in the rose water, her skin glistened with the sizzling aqua that simply radiated her pure and unblemished beauty. When she came out of the pool, her beauty still dazzling as the aqua reflected her stunning features, her sisters-in-law made her sit in front of the mirror; after delicately squeezing out the water on her skin.
Chandreya put the beautiful Nath on her slim nose and rubbed almond oil onto her lips to prevent them to dry out, while Divya decked her forehead with Kumkum and sandalwood drawing a chandrabindu on it. The maids made her wear a beautiful scarlet red nauvari with golden border that simply embraced her petite figure more elegantly as she got draped in it, with a golden blouse that went on complimenting her complexion. Her personal handmaid decked her hair as she tied the locks in a braid, leaving the roses and jasmine flowers down her hairstyle. Divya made her wear the gorgeous Thushi, following her earrings having the earchains leaving behind her earlobes and they were being tugged within her tresses. Chandreya decked her waterline with the kohl, and put the armlets on, following the rings and bracelets as she again put a chain that hung down her breasts. Her feet got decorated as the maids had drawn the auspicious aalta, then a pair of heavy anklets and toe rings hugged her feet and the fingers on her feet; her small waist was being embraced by a gorgeous waistband, complimenting her all jewels.
