CHAPTER II

Gweneth POV

Mom started the car and started driving, I put my earphones  on. "Anak, gwen..." mom said
"Hmm?"
Tinangal ko yung left earphones ko. "Anak, I hope you know how much I love you" mom said softly, I rolled my eyes "you may not believe me but I was exactly like you at your age... I didn't like showing my vulnerability because I was afraid it would make me weak" mom continued.

"Me and your dad...were trying to work this out for you, I love you so much anak, you are the only good I've ever done" I looked at the window and said, "why do I feel like you don't love dad"
"I do love your father anak, his your dad, I wouldn't have had you if it weren't for him-"

"Your lying! I know because I never, even once hear you say 'I love you' to him mom! You seem so out of touch in this family! Ugh! This is why I didn't wanna ride with you"

"Gwen, I'm trying my best here....I never left you or your dad. I'm sorry anak if I made you feel this way, mommy will do better...the three of us can go to disneyland again this weekend if you want-"

"WAG NA MOMMY! And out of all the places disneyland? Hindi na ko bata mom! And besides you don't seem to enjoy it when we go to disneyland! You don't know but I see how sad you get when we all hang out as a family! Especially disneyland!"

I put my earphones on, but I kind of feel bad for what I said.
We reached my school, I opened the door and slammed it shut, I walked behind the car to the entrance of the school and caught a glimpse of my mom in the car's side mirror, she was crying. I hate my life so much, I hate everyone, I hate myself, why did I have to be born. Masmaganda yata kung wala ako sa mundong ito.

I received a text from mom

mommy : anak, walang tao sa bahay mamaya there gonna be working on the floorings for the reinventions.

mommy : doon ka muna sa ninang mo in the meantime. I'm going to tell manong ben to drop you off there, he'll also bring your spare clothes and hygiene box. Always remember, mommy loves  you anak, hope you have fun at your first day of grade 10!

me: yes mom

....

"Present" sabi ni sheena nung tinawag yung pangalan nya,
"Nakakatakot naman tong teacher na to" bulong ni sheena saakin.
Tinignan ko yung teacher and yung nakasulat sa whiteboard
'Ms. LAKAN' never ko pa syang naging teacher pero dati ko pa syang nakikita simula nung elementary palang ako.

She looks so strict, she's old and walang jowa so I guess thats the reason why.

"Gweneth Lim Jao" banggit nya "present" Sabi ko
Tinignan nya ko and weird kasi ako lang yung student na tinignan nya. "Lim Jao?" She clarified.

"Yes ms. Lakan?" I answered
"Anong pangalan ng magulang mo?" Tanong nya. This is so awkward kasi lahat ng attention napunta na sakin. "Mikaela Lim and Daniel Tan Jao names ng parents ko"

"Interesting, hindi ka ba marunong mag 'po'....well kay Mikaela Lim ka nga pala nangaling" huh, anong kinalaman ng mom ko dun? Weird. Sa pagkakaalam ko magaling daw na volleyball player mom ko dito, Alam ko mabait and emotionless lng lagi si mommy.

"Bakit nyo natanong?" Sabi ko kay ms. Lakan
"Nothing, so tita mo si Maraiah Arceta? Yung pinsan ng tatay mo?" I nodded my head, she looked surprised but brushed it off

Me and my friends looked at each other, they teased me which made me throw them a middle finger. Miss Lakan whispered but I wasn't quite sure if I heard it right....

"Ang dami daming alam dati mikaela...maghihiwalay din pala..."

Manong ben pulled up at the entrance ng school, "bye guys!" Sabi ko sa friends ko. I hopped in the car and put my earphones on.

"Ma'am Gwen, sa ninang nyo po pala tayo-"
"I know"
