Chu

"YIPPE!" It wasn't very long before Chu reformed herself. She was a majin, after all. Being blown up with a planet wasn't all that much to her. She twirled and flipped in happiness. She hadn't done that in such a long time! It was one of those exhilarating feelings she didn't know she missed.

With blowing up, it seemed to reset her mood. A weight lifted from her when her negative urges were sated. She was back to her simple self again. That fight had been fun, too. It always felt great to blow off steam. While her opponent hadn't been as adept as she was in combat, making the battle hers, he had a lot of stamina. He lasted way longer than others had in the same situation, which she gave him props for.

Mr. Lizard did live longer.

Who would have thought?

"He gave lots of food, too!" He'd almost doubled her energy reserves. In this universe—totally not breaking the fourth wall—there are three types of energy. The energy from spirits, ki, and magic are the types she absorbs. The best examples are The Kais she and Buu defeated, the men she killed and drained, and Bibidi. These energies can be both negatively and positively charged depending on the disposition of who wields it.

Frieza was an evil tyrant, and his men weren't much better. Most of the Namekians were good people, like Kyuri and Guru. They had energies charged at opposite ends of the spectrum, and Negative and positive life force are not equal. It is much harder to maintain a positive charge than a negative one, thus it's stronger than a negative one. That's why when Kyuri shared some of his ki with her, being affected by his positive alignment, it was more fulfilling to her than when she killed Frieza's men.

People are not the only things that have a form of spirit or ki, flora, fauna, and the planets themselves do as well. As they have no alignment they are sources of truly pure life energy. Planets that sustain life of any kind have ample reserves that leak passively from it. She can rest there and slowly rebuild her strength, which is how she broke free from her seal on Namek.

In addition, when a planet is destroyed, the once self-contained energy is released (very explosively, her favorite part aside from the meal). Chu gathers that energy with her every scattered cell. She could double or even triple her power (which happened, she was very happy about that).

She'd miss the grass, though. It was very soft, perfect for sleeping.

The lesser-known edible energy for Chu is magic. She is a magical being, after all. Just like life energy, magical energy naturally feeds into her body. It's how she transforms things into what she wants, "heals", and manipulates most of her moves and ki. Unlike Buu, who focuses mostly on battle energy, Chu took on most of their magical aspect.

While absorbing this type of energy doesn't restore Chu's energy meter like life energy, it does give her a short-term power boost. She can't always absorb it, mind you, but most of the time she can. The only time she can't is when the energy matches her own.

The only case of that is her brother. That's it. He's just less... creative with it than she is. The lava bullets she used on Frieza are a prime example. Her mental link is another example. Her magic also boosted the natural abilities of her body, which is why after only a few minutes, she regenerated.

However, she did notice it took a lot longer to gather her bits than it used to. Before, it had been instantaneous. This time, it, well, took time. Not a lot of time for anyone else, but it was forever for her. Chu was not patient about things like this. The fact it took that long was a big red flag for her. She didn't like that at all.
