I continued looking at the pictures, seeking comfort, but was interrupted by the vibration of my phone.

I took my eyes off the picture and picked up the phone. An unknown number, I swiped my finger across the screen and pulled the green button to answer. I put the phone to my ear.

I could only hear breathing on the other side, is someone pranking me? I'm really not in the mood for jokes. I cleared my throat.

"Hello? This is Kim Y/N speaking. How can I help?"

"Hmm." A deep voice filled my right ear. I must admit, I lack patience.

"How can I help you?" I repeated.

"The pictures I plan to buy, do you deliver them?"

"Yes." Now I felt like I was having a normal conversation. The impatience in my voice disappeared. Maybe I judge too quickly.

"Personally?"

"No..."

He interrupted me mid-sentence. "Deliver them to me personally, I will pay you."

"Sir..."

"I can't stand people, and you seem reliable. I have anxiety. Do you understand?"

Oh damn, I hate empathizing with people. "Yes, of course I understand, I know what it's like." Before I said anything else, I bit my lower lip gently. I didn't know exactly what to say. I released my grip. "Alright, I'll just need your address."

"I will send everything in a message. I prefer you come alone, I don't like company. Just leave the pictures at my house, I won't be home. Can you do that, Mrs. Kim?"

"Yes, of course."

He hung up.

I put down the phone and looked at it; I received a message. I clicked on the message. It had the address and he sent me the receipt for the pictures he paid for. I zoomed in on the receipt. What??? Excuse me?

Someone pulled me out of my thoughts when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked at the person-it was my best friend, Amy.

Should I tell her? I opened my mouth to say something but quickly closed it when she interrupted me and said,

"I have good news!!! All your pictures have been bought by... actually, now that I look at it, I don't know his name. Just the last name Jeon. Kind of funny, don't you think?"

Amy laughed, and I shuddered. He probably loves art.

I pushed the bad thoughts out of my head.

"What's wrong? Y/n."

I swallowed and looked at her. I forced a smile. "Yeah, I just need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back."

"Aren't you happy? About the pictures?"

"No... of course, I am, I'm glad. But now I'll have to work more to make new ones... I'm talking too much. I'm sorry."

I turned and went to the bathroom. I locked the door. I took out my phone.

I inhaled and exhaled sharply, unsure of what I was feeling. On one hand, I was happy, but on the other, I was a little scared. I pressed his number.

"Mr. Jeon, that's a lot of pictures... I will need help."

I exhaled sharply and then quickly inhaled when I saw him typing. I froze in place. Why does it feel like my heart is in my throat?

"I can't stand people, so no."

Son of a bitch, I scoffed. He can't stand people? How on earth am I supposed to bring all those pictures? I hate this job!

Time skip...

I exhaled, standing in front of his large house with the truck. I got out of the truck and opened it, took one picture, and walked to his door. 'I won't be home.' He's probably not home? So how am I supposed to...?

I approached the door, and there was a note on it. "Ms. Kim, please place the pictures in the kitchen." I sighed, pushed the door, and saw that it opened. Who leaves their door unlocked like this? God...
