What a match, Shubman again proved himself as a player who stands tall when the team needs him. Not your usual T20 match with 15-run overs and 50+ partnerships. India lost 4 wickets in the powerplay, and right in time, Shubman controlled himself from rash shots, reduced dot balls, and rotated the strike. When the team was almost out of danger, he started trying to hit. One ball worked, but unfortunately, he couldn’t assess the next one as he usually does.
This 39-run controlled innings is one of my favourites for sure. When T20 players like SKY, Jaiswal, and Rinku couldn’t stand there, Shubman, who’s usually called not a T20 player and overrated, was holding one end for 15 long overs. I’m sure Gill’s haters will come up now, saying he stap-padded the innings and stuff, but bro, he’s the highest run-getter in today’s innings.
My Gill bro makes us proud, the fans. I’m sure Bhabhi too enjoyed this innings from home. Every Gill fan is satisfied. If he would have got that 50, it would’ve been a great day, but no worries. My brother, the prince of cricket, baby goat, will do more ahead!
