Their chemistry teacher had instructed Obanai to keep the class's chemistry notebooks on her table, in the staff room.
So Obanai had reluctantly left his group of friends to keep the books where it had to be.
But while walking in the halls, Obanai felt as if he were going to get attacked any moment soon, as the footsteps he was talking felt as if they were too loud, too loud for his liking.
Also including the fact that the halls were quiet, it felt as if he were in a horror movie, about to get attacked.
This caused the heterochromatin to pay very close attention to the sounds made by him and his surroundings.
Although, Obanai must regret such a decision because when he passed that floor's bathroom, the moaning was loud and clear for Obanai's unfortunate ears.
Why must that stupid staff room be so far away from his classroom?!
Going from one room to another felt as if he was going on a adventure, he got to experience all sorts of things.
Although the things didn't benefit him in any way shape or form.
By the time Obanai finished his little journey and returned back to the class, their mathematics teacher had already arrived.
And it was clear that she had graded every one's papers, and much to everyone's dismay, she didn't look happy, at all.
Obanai hurried and moved back to his seat, as there was no reason to anger the teacher more than she already is.
She sighed and rubbed her eyes before saying anything.
"Never in my 25 years of teaching, have I had a class this bad. Out of all of you, the only one that got an A was Shinazugawa. And he even got lower than before! Guys, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. You all did so bad! …Ugh! I am at a loss for words!" And despite being at a loss for words, she scolded the class for another 20 minutes before actually giving them their papers.
When Giyuu got his paper, he scanned over it before instantly shoving the whole paper into his drawer, and looking away from a certain somebody.
And when class finished, that certain someone came up to Giyuu's table, and Giyuu nervously looked at him.
"Hey… Sanemi…" Giyuu greeted the other.
"How much did you get?" Sanemi asked, he already knew that the raven failed, but a little tormenting doesn't hurt anyone, now does it?
"Uhm…" Giyuu pulled out the crushed paper from his drawer, side-eyeing Sanemi before looking at his paper again. "I got… 25…"
Sanemi sighed. "The test was out of a 100…"
"I know…" Giyuu stood up from his seat, taking out his lunch box before giving a slight smile to Sanemi and running off to the cafeteria.
Sanemi sighed before joining the rest of his friends there aswell.
"Giyuu that's just sad. Like, 25? I would've cried over a 52 and here you are with an even worse grade!" Kanae said in frustration.
"Listen, you're apart of the student council, I'm not." Giyuu said, trying to make it valid.
"Doesn't Sanemi tutor you? And he's a better mathematician than me!" Kanae argued back.
This was were Sanemi joined in. "Well, to be fair, we didn't get to have a tutoring session before that huge ass test."
Then Giyuu decided to chime in. "And also, it was a suprise test! So I possibly couldn't have studied my ass of the night before!"
"It was a surprise test…?" Kanae said in shock. "Then why is she mad with a class full of low grades…?"
"Listen, we never know what's going through that woman's head. But I'll make sure a pole goes through it." Giyuu said.
"Giyuu, that's murder." Obanai chimed in.
"No shit that's why I'm fucking doing it." Giyuu responded to Obanai's statement, resulting in Obanai letting out a chuckle.
"Oh, by the way, I heard some fucking while I was carrying the chemistry books to the staff room." Obanai suddenly said.
"Who was it?" Kanae asked.
"Man, I don't know! I didn't check!" Obanai responded.
"You should've." Sanemi said.
"Fuck you, man." Obanai uttered.
"I'd pass." Sanemi responded.
"You're acting like I was offering." Obanai voiced.
"Oh wow." Giyuu chimed in.
"Oh by the way, I've been hearing some rumors about Taro… and Yumiki…" Kanae says.
"Yumiki? Isn't that one of the student council members?" Sanemi asked.
"Yep, that one." Kanae confirmed. "Apparently, they've been having something like an affair everyday after school. They say that the two of them meet up at Taro's place and just go at it!"
"Oh… that's not… oh my god…" Obanai continued to mumble.
"Speaking of those two, where are they?" Giyuu suddenly said.
"What do you mean?" Obanai asked.
"I would normally see them sitting somewhere in the cafeteria, but not today?" Giyuu explained.
"That's true… I'll see to that later though." Kanae says.
Silence filled their group as their eyes searched for those two, the background noise of chattering filling their ears as they do so.
Their search was cut quick when the bell rang, signalling that they had to return to class.
When they resumed their classes, all four felt a weird feeling.
A really bad feeling.
A feeling that's telling them that every single thing was going to downhill.
But then, another feeling erupted, a feeling that after everything goes downhill, a light was going to bloom.
After all the darkness, a light was going to guide them their ways.
They were four different people, all of their paths were different.
They amount of darkness that they would have to endure would be different for each one of them.
The amount of loneliness that they would have to endure would be different for each of them.
The amount of love and support they would receive would be different for each of them.
The amount of comfort they would receive would be different for each one of them.
However, after all the darkness, rest will be assured for each and every one of them.
Even if they had to sacrifice time and energy in the darkness.
The light will sure come their way.
