It was a stereotypical day for the mythicals. Just chatting in a nice area in a forest, the same place they always meet up. There was an old, willowed-away, dirt path that ran down it, a long river that ran next to the trees, and a few hills in the background with a house on the very top. It would be a nice place for a hangout or fishing trip if it wasn't so overgrown and forgotten. Everything was as it always was, Pezzy, John, and Dallas relaxed in a soft pile of grass, leaning against a broken stone wall.

On the opposite side, Puffer and Matt were in the water, slightly struggling to keep their heads up in order to see the others. Everyone was talking, feeling secure in their natural forms, until they heard some commotion in the distance, and then everyone froze. Dallas was about to jump toward the sound, but Kryoz quickly grabbed the wolf by the scruff of the neck, stopping it in its tracks. "Hide." The vampire grumbled.

"Why!" Dallas asked in a whine, making him sound like a child upset about not being able to get a toy at the store. The other three didn't fight though, the sirens went under the water, finding an area hidden under a small cliff while Pezzy turned into a tiny spider and hid in the cracks of some broken stones.

"Because we don't know who they are or what they can do," Kryoz said firmly, putting his foot down before turning into a bat and hiding under his umbrella as it fell to the ground, Dallas huffed and ran into the woods. Everyone waited anxiously as the sound of chattering got louder. Eventually, came five men, they looked like a casual group, friends of a few different ages, and based on the way they were talking, laughing, and joking around, it seemed they'd just gotten back from a party.

The mythicals watched closely, listening in. "I told you guys she didn't like me!" A boy with green and blue glasses and a dark grey hoodie called out, getting a few to chuckle at his misfortune.

"Relax, Droid, at least she didn't make a big deal out of it." Said another with green eyes and a stupid-looking propeller hat, playfully shoving Droid's shoulder.

A much taller man with dark brown hair burst into a booming laughter. "Didn't make a big deal? Smitty, she laughed in his face!" He said, earning a few more giggles from the others. Two boys had their faces hidden, one by their hair and the other by a mask and sunglasses. At one point both turned to one another, whispered something, before laughing again.

"Great job at cheering him up, Griz." Sarcasm dripped from the boy in a red hoodie, the one with black hair; who had a guitar case on his back, nodding in agreement. They all kept cackling and teasing each other as they walked past and away from the mythicals hidden beneath their noses. They had left quickly,  not stopping once on their walk home. Except for two of them.

"Dooo, wait up...Did you see that?" Grizzy asked while he came to a stop near the river, the shortest man also stopped, confusion etched on the visible parts of his face.

"See what?" He asked, walking over to Grizzy who was standing in front of the water that followed the shallow woods they traveled through. Nelson squinted and searched the water silently before speaking up.

"I thought I saw something move." He mumbled, Eric just laughed before turning around and began to walk again.

"Yeah Griz, fish do tend to move." He laughed, causing Grizzy to roll his eyes before following along. Eventually, they disappeared with the others.

A few minutes passed before the mythicals finally came back together, getting in their usual spots, while also keeping careful. Matt looked around before trying to speak up. "Į  wæñt thę ßmæłł œñę" The others gave amused expressions or noises at the nonsense, but Puffer seemed to understand.

"Matt, we can't understand your siren speak." Pezzy laughed, Matt sighed and dunked himself under the water, disappearing for a minute, but when he came back up he resembled more of a human man, his green - that faded into a somewhat purply colored tail still sticking through the water.

"I said, I want the small one." He said, to which Dallas snorted loudly, causing Matt to snarl. "What!" Matt's head snapped to the werewolf, his blond fur looking dirty in the lighting.

Dallas calmed his laugh before looking at the siren. "Why the small one? Get one of them big ones." He said in a strong southern accent, he seemed proud of how he made Matt react, but his own smile fell into a scowl when he heard a snicker.

"Like you could kill one of them." Puffer teased, also having transformed into his merman form when the others weren't paying attention. The way he casually defended Matt with a smug grin made Dallas scoff.

"Could kill you." The wolf muttered, sitting silently as he slowly shifted into his human form before speaking up again. "I don't care, Ima get that big one in the red hoodie." He grinned, and he seemed very confident in himself like he knew he could do it easily. Kryoz rolled his eyes, and the others made noises of annoyance or disbelief, but Dallas was passionate about this now, so nothing was stopping him.

"Right right, picking prey without even knowing if they'd come back." Pezzy pointed out with his own grin, earning a glare from the oversized dog.

"Yeah? What about it? It's not like you could kill even the smallest one." Dallas shot back. The spider looked almost bewildered at the accusation.

"Oh shut up! If they come back I'll get that one with the goofy glasses, he looked easy enough." He defended himself, recalling how the one man who'd clearly been recently rejected looked like jelly, easy to pick on.
