Vigilante Shit / Bronn / Jorah mormont out now!!

"Aelsa." Otto breathed back.

"Otto." She answered. She moved slowly to him hugging him tightly. Alaric looked to Larys.

"Don't worry, she loves you like crazy." he assured. Larys nodded.

"I know." Larys agreed.

"Tell that to your face."

"Where is Daeron?" Lila questioned.

"He took off for the capital already." Larys reminded her. "Remember seeing Tessarion in the sky?"

"Oh, right." Lila giggled.

"Come." Otto instructed getting them a hot meal and warm baths. Aelsa dried her hair as she moved to him.

"You ignored ravens from your daughter for moons." Aelsa reminded him.

"I thought it was better if I stayed away."

"Aemond wanted to make you hand." Aelsa countered.

"I read that." otto agreed.

"And you thought let aelsa fuck it up some more before I swoop in?" Aelsa pondered.

"Aelsa,' Otto held her hand and she dropped the towel in her hand. "You were tsked with an impossible situation." Otto corrected. He sighed taking a step closer. "With two boys playing king, neither were going to listen to you." Otto remarked.

"So you didnt want to deal with them either." Aelsa agreed he rested his forehead against hers..

"I didnt." Otto admitted. "And I knew I would get more done here then at the capital."

"How is that going?" Aelsa questioned.

"Slowly." Otto admitted. "But its going."

"Better than I can say back home." Aelsa offered.

"Where were you in this fight?" Alaric questioned  because Old Town doesn't give a fuck about anything but Old Town. "Hiding away?"

"Leave him be. Its not his fight." Aelsa assured. "And hes feeding us so shut up."

Harenhal was disorienting you could get lost even if you'd been in there 1 million times

Wierwood roots were breaking through the walls as if the castle itself was being claimed by the old gods. Old town was beautiful, tall towers and cobblestone pathways.

Larys did not like this one bit. Otto was her former lover but the south was safer than the north, that much was true and Otto had control and power- although not the firstborn son - over many holdfasts in the south.

Aelsa chuckled moving a rook forward on the board. Otto matched her sliding forward what Aelsa always called mini towers.

"Ollivander has grown since I last saw him." Otto remarked. Aelsa nodded shifting her knight. "Taller."

"Yeah I wonder where he gets his height from." Aelsa mused meeting his gaze. "He misses you at meetings, Aemond is a dipshit." Aelsa said bluntly.

"Are we going to keep skirting around this or will you tell me whats going on up there?" Otto questioned.

"Your grandsons don't listen to me, Aemond taunted Aegon, Aegon nearly died and Aemond is a psychopath. The end."

"The end." otto agreed.

"I missed you. The capital went to shit even worse after you left." Aelsa remarked. "But Aegon did one thing right adding Larys to the council officially." Aelsa added. Otto gave a tight nod.

"We never got closure Aelsa." Otto whispered filling her glass.

"Closure... it cuts deep to know right to the bone." She countered. "Its better left in the clouds."

"If you say so." Otto answered as she trapped his king.

"Easily gotten." Aelsa told him. "Come on, I thought you were competition?"

Larys forced a smile when Aelsa came to bed late, wine on her tongue but her hair was still perfect. She kissed him before flopping into bed beside him.

"Sorry, I was catching up with Otto.''

"I figured." Larys answered. "Alaric was with Lila... but she wanted you."

"Oh," aelsa got up. "I'm sorry, I should have-'

"I tended to her, shes fast asleep now." Larys countered. "Are you going to make this a habit?" Larys questioned after a long moment.

"What?"

"Spending half the night with Otto HIghtower?"

"No. I'm sorry, it was just catching up over a game of chess." Aelsa assured him. "I love you. It was just chess."

But just chess turned into Otto thinking he had an in.

"We have all the time in the world." Otto whispered cupping her cheek. She pulled back, she couldnt do this to Larys no matter what her heart wanted or craved. Otto understood letting his hand fall. "All the time in the world..."

Time was not promised to anyone in the midst of war.
