"Some rum wouldn't go amiss. Your Grace. Just a little." Orwyle remarked.

"You're a good man, Orwyle." Aegon said as the door opened. Aegon drank down the rum.

"A word, Your Grace?" Larys questioned. Orwyle headed out as larys made his way to Aegon. "I must ask you, Your Grace, to steel yourself. We must leave King's Landing, quickly, and we will not return for some time."

"What?" Aegon rasped.

"Aegon just listen please," Aelsa begged.

"The Pretender has found three new riders for her dragons." Larys informed him.

"That's impossible."

"Your brother thought the same. He flew to challenge her and was rebuffed. Fled in terror, from what I hear." Larys added.

"He deserves no less." Aegon agreed.

"yes I wish to have seen his terrified face as well." Aelsa admitted.

"Be that as it may, he has gone in fury to Sharp Point... and laid waste to the whole of the town."

"Fucking mad cunt." Aegon said softly. "She really did it then?"

"I fear so." Aelsa agreed. "Which means-"

"So, what was the fucking point in all this then?" Aegon pondered looking to his broken body.

"DId I not tell you to listen?" Aelsa sassed.

"The gods are cruel, Your Grace, but I hope you can see the urgency." Larys added more gently. Aelsa wasnt known for gentle.

"No, no. I am the king. Why must I run?" Aegon countered.

"Because the prince regent is going to kill you." Larys answered. "You were in danger before, and now, he is thwarted and he is angry. There is no telling what he will do, but we have an opportunity while he is away..."

"An opportunity to push him out." Aegon agreed. "Take me to my throne and once he returns, I shall take him prisoner... hm?"

"And what then? When Rhaenyra descends on you with her seven dragons, and you, without Vhagar, what then?" Larys countered calmly.

"W... Uh..." Aegon debated.

"You die." Aelsa cut in. "Vhagar is useful, aemond is a cunt. Easy as that but we need his dragon so we need him."

"I have, over the years, in anticipation of little bumps in the road, moved the greater part of Harrenhal's gold reserves to the Iron Bank in Braavos." larys said sitting his beside. "We can live... well and remain until what is coming has passed." Aegon laughed weakly.

"Y... You want to take me to Essos to live with the goatfuckers." Aegon realized.

"I like that... sort of, thats a long journey." Aelsa countered.

"It's best to live, I think. However you do it."

"Is it? My dragon is dead. I am burnt... and disgusting... and alone." Aegon countered. "And I'm a cripple." larys knew of being a cripple too well.

"That is far from the worst thing you can be." She assured. "You can be a arrogant dick head like your brother."

"You are not alone." Larys added.

"My cock is destroyed, did they tell you that?" Aegon countered. "Yeah. It burst into flames like a sausage on the spit."

"Gross." Aelsa countered glancing to his nether region.

"Do not despair, Your Grace. There are better days ahead. Let your brother and the Pretender destroy themselves in blood and bitterness. When they are spent, and their armies in tatters, we will return, and the people will rise up to meet us." Larys assured.

"I can't even piss without it running down my leg." Aegon countered.

"Might as well put you out of your misery then?" Aelsa pondered, Aegon tried to glare at her but he couldnt get his face to listen.

"They will be tired of endless deprivation and fear." Larys went on. "They will hail the returning king... his father's true heir. Aegon the Victorious... risen from the ashes. Aegon the Peacemaker. Aegon the Rebuilder." Aegon smiled.

"Aegon, the Realm's Delight."

"Alicent left."

"What?" Larys questioned.

"Yeah, master orwlye is on my payroll." Aelsa agreed. "She is trying to make peace with Rhaenyra."

"She cant be that stupid." Larys countered. "it would mean her sons death, helaenas death."

"Yet she left." Aelsa countered. "The time is ripe.

When aemond set out larys moved to get aegon free. So he could fight another day.

Now just to convince him that leaving was for the best.

"You got the kids packed up?" Aelsa questioned Alaric.

"Everything they need is strapped onto the horses. How are you going to pick between your shoes aelsa?" Alaric teased.

"I know it will be tragic leaving some of them behind." Aelsa agreed. "do you have room in your case?"

"Just hurry up. We ride as dawn."

"I know when we ride I'm the one that planned all this."
