"Text me and or call me every day, got it? I'm gonna be here for you 24/7 no matter what." Says Newt's only real friend he ever got in London.

They were at the airport, Newt's mum was sitting next to him reading a book.

"How many times I have to tell you, Alby? I will. Don't worry." He responded and sighed.

He knew that Alby was worried about him, which was really annoying sometimes but the blonde knew that his friend meant good. And to be honest he was thankful that Alby even called at that moment.

They were at the airport waiting for their flight, which wouldn't be here for another hour or so. And Newt really did need a distraction from all the weird and curious looks that he got from people passing by or just sitting near.

Why do you even care? No one knows what do you look like. And you probably won't see anyone ever again, so why bother? His mind told him.

And he was right. No one saw his face. And they never will. That was his plan.

No one sees your ugly face, thankfully.

Newt's frowns a bit as this thought crosses his mind.

"Helloooo? Newt, you still there? Jeez, did your phone died!?" A sudden voice called him back into reallity causing him to slightly flinch.

"Wha- oh yeah.. I MEAN NO- no my phone is completely fine and I'm still here. I just- umm.. got lost in thought." He quickly explains hoping his friend didn't hang up yet.

"Ah, should have known. That happens quite a lot to you." Newt let's out a small nervous laugh, and Alby continues: "I asked you how you're doing. With all that moving-out-to-another-side-of-the-world thing."

Newt rolls his eyes. "Alby, you already asked me that, come onnn!"

"Have a problem if i ask it again, then?" Alby says with serious tone with fake innocence.

"I'm good. Okay? I... I'm fine, really." He said and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath in and out to relieve his stress at least a little.

They continued talking for half an hour or so, till Newt's phone really did die and well... The call ended.

He asked his mum what time is it and she said that their flight will be ready very soon.

And, as always, she was right.

Soon they got on the plane and took seats. Mum wanted to convince Newt to sit by the window but her son insisted that she will sit there. She would saw more anyway.

Trough the flight, he decided to read the only book that he brought with him. His favorite one.

The Wish by Nicholas Sparks.

He read it multiple times now so he knew exactly how it ends and what happens. But he decided to re-read it every time he felt sad or just bored.

Sadly he couldn't focus on reading it. His skin was burning by the stares people had secretly given him time by time, making him feel overwhelmed.

It was ironical because no one could see his skin. Sleeves of his hoodie were so long it covered even his hands.

And his face was also hidden, by a cardboard box with two holes so he could see. No one will see his face without putting the box off.

Newt's face wasn't seen by anyone for three years now. Even his doctor and mum haven't seen it since then.

Newt's mum was worried sick the first year - she tried to make him go to a therapist and he did, but he didn't help much. Now she was okay with her son hiding his face, since is not hurting anyone and he finally goes outside and doesn't lock himself in his bedroom like he used to.
