This was inspired by one of @R3DSPADES fanfiction called "A New Perspective." Now originally, I had an idea of a what if scenario of Batman getting Spider-Man's powers or what if Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne switched lives and then reading "A New Perspective" gave me well, a new perspective for this story and here we are.

I started cooking with the ingredients I had in the kitchen of this story.

So enjoy.

"I am a Lonely Hero," Nico sang to himself as the sixteen year old Native American teen was washing the dishes. He nodded his head to the music playing in his headphones. "Trying to fight my battles. Life likes to blow the cold wind. Sometimes it freezes my shadow. In the midst of all this darkness, I sacrifice my ego. There ain't no room for selfish, we do it for the people. When the night is taken over and the moonlight gets exposure, and the players have been chosen and it seems like fate has spoken. When it seems that your faith is broken, by the second losing focus-"

"How long have you been doing this?" asked a voice behind him.

Instinctively, Nico stops singing and feels embarrassed that someone has walked in on him singing to himself but reminded himself that he wasn't being judged for it. "Since I woke up." he replied to Rio Morales.

The Puerto Rico Hispanic woman crosses her arms and hums before asking. "And when did you wake up this time?"

"About ten minutes after Mr. Morales left for work," Nico replied. "Don't worry, I already had breakfast. Just doing this before heading to back to Visions."

"Well, I suppose that I don't need to remind you that you don't have to do this," Rio said. The Native American teen shrugged. "It gives me something to do when I wake up around 5:30."

Rio rolled her eyes. "Well, you didn't wake up Miles, did you?" she asked.

"Well, he woke up after I took a shower." Nico replied, drying off the last bowl and putting it away. "I think he asked me something about waking him up again before you woke up so he could a get a head start on eating breakfast and walking to school."

"Miles, you're too young to walk to school on your own!" Rio shouted down the hall. It was silent for a moment before the two heard a response.

"Nico!" a voice whined from the bedroom. "You said you'll wake me up!"

Nico chuckled before replying, "No, I said I'll think of it. And I told you that you had an hour before she woke up." He gives Rio a one arm hug and grabs his sweatshirt and backpack as he walks to the door. "Have a great day, Mrs. Morales."

"You too, Nico." Rio replied. "Give your grandfather my regards when you see him."

"Wait!" a ten year old boy stumbled out of his room, racing down the hall to hug the Native American teen. "See you Saturday."

Nico chuckled and ruffled Miles' hair. "Until then, Miles." he said warmly before walking out the door.

Nico pulled his sweatshirt down his torso as he walked down the hall and almost stumbled down the stairs before catching himself. He straightened himself and his sweater with a neon green bat symbol on the chest and then adjusted his hat while walking before pulling out his phone to pick a different song. This time he picked his Linkin Park playlist.

He hummed and mumbled some lyrics as he walked. He saw a TV with breaking news. Spider-Man saved the day earlier today. Nico smiled and looked around at the sky for a glimpse of the spider themed hero. He may be a fan of the DC comics, but he was always eager to get a glimpse of the real superheroes in action.
