(Listen to whatever you want this chapter. I was listening to goth by sidewalks and skeletons, but honestly, thirteen would work too. It just depends on the mood you want.)

It had been hours since he had sent severus off to get harry. Surely it couldn't take this long to retrieve the boy from the malfoy's. His gut told him something awful. Betrayal. His mind wanted to fight it. Servus was one of his most loyal followers. Devoted to him through and through. What had changed?

It was very quickly decided the malfoys were due a visit. Ether to clear things up or confirm his suspicions. Hopefully, the first one, probably the second.

Voldamort apperated into the malfoy manner. More specifically, behind narrsissa.

She was holding a blond bundle, rocking it side to side, humming to it. This bundle was draco, the newest addition to the malfoy legacy.

"Narrsissa," he said.

Narrsissa jumped suddenly and turned around. Her eyes gave away her surprise.

"My- my lord," she held the child close and bowed. "What brings you here?"

No time for formality. Not when a part of his soul was on the line.

"Where is Harry?" It came out firmer and meaner than expected.

His loudness had apparently alarmed malfoy senior. Lucius walked quickly to his wife's side.

"What is the matter, my lord?"

Voldamort sighed. His horcrux might be on the line, and what was this silly man doing? Getting in his way.

"Shut up, lucius!" He yelled and turned to narssia."Where is the boy?"

"Servus took him. He said you needed him".

Narssia lowered her head.

"Then why don't I have him?!" He yelled louder.

The foolish dattling was insufferable.

"I do not know my lord".

As he looked at her, he saw tears along the waterline of her eyes. If this woman wanted to waste his time she would pay for it.

"Give me your baby".

Narrsissa stepped back. "My lord? What is the meaning of this?"

Voldamort stepped closer, drawing his wand.

"Give me the baby!" He yelled, snatching draco from his mother.

"No!" She screamed out as Voldamort pushed her to the ground.

"Shut up"

Narrsissa let out a wail of fear as she began to weep. Quickly she got down on her knees, begging.

"Please don't hurt him. Please. He is only but a few months old. He's my son, my baby. Please, my lord, please -" she choked on her sobbs "I wouldn't- I wouldn't know what to do if- if he-" she let out a particularly still sob "if something happened to him"

Lucius immediately grabbed her, trying to reef her off the ground. Apparently, Voldamort wasn't the only one who found it pitiful. Or perhaps he was simply ashamed by his wife's lack of dignity. Ether way he whispered gentle words to her trying to coax her up.

"Narsissa. Get up. Please, stop this."

She looked at him with tear filled angry eyes, then back at voldamort.

"Please. Please, my lord, " she had caught her breath a bit more.

Slowly, she got off the ground with the help of her mortified husband.

"Please, my lord"

"I said to shut up once. That should be enough. I should kill this boy just for your stupidity."

Narrsissa froze.

Voldamort continued, "I won't, though. It serves me no purpose as of right now. However, I will be keeping him until I get back the other boy as a form of-" he paused, thinking "insurance, of sorts. I get back Harry, you get back your son. I sincerely hope this factor motivates you to correct your mistakes"

Narrsissa opened her mouth to speak, but lucius was quicker.

"Thank you, my lord. You have been most merciful. We will work to find the potter boy".

"Good. I will also search for severus. He could be anywhere, so it's good to have more people. However, I want no one else to know of this"

Both knodded.

"What will become of severus?" Narrsissa asked timidly.

"You're fully aware of how I deal with traitors"

He watched narrsissa swallow extra hard. He had clearly struck some kind of nerve or fear.

"Of course, my lord," lucius answered for her.
