"Waise, bhabhi aapka naam kya hai?" Vidhi chirped.

Everybody was now staring at Dakshika to know the answer. Her cheeks turned light pink. She was not used to such attention.

It sounded so interesting. Families usually ask such type of questions while finding an alliance not after the alliance.

Well, what to expect when the alliance itself was weird.

She shifted her gaze and answered,
" Dakshika." Her voice came out soft and velvety without her knowledge.

Akshar kept staring at her for a few seconds. " I am going to my room." Saying this, he was about to leave when his mother's words made him halt, "Take your wife with you; she is injured. "

He stood dumbfounded. Both of them didn't think once about the fact that they have to share the same roof, the same house, and the same room, as a couple now.

Dakshika felt uneasy; she didn't want to go to the same room as him, but then again, she wouldn't say no, some time or the other; she had to adjust with him.

Their eyes met. He kept standing in his place waiting for her response. She stood up and went beside him, trying her best to hide her inner turmoil.

He reached out his hand to her and she held it to take support. When they reached in front of the stairs, he stopped and turned to her, making her confused. After contemplating for a few seconds, he picked her in his arms.

Startled by the sudden stunt, a light yelp left her mouth, and her hands found their way to his shoulder and neck. While he felt a shiver run down his spine when her palm came in contact with the bare skin of his neck and chest.

By now, she felt the gazes on them, so she hushed, "Mr Rathore, put me down. Sab hume hi dekh rhe hain. Moreover, I can walk on my own now."
( Everyone is watching us.)

Akshar clicked his tongue. His tone gave away the hidden irritation, as he said, " Whi to Mrs. Rathore, sab dekh rahe hain ki aap meri biwi hain isiliye aapko aapke bharose nhi chor sakta." He reasoned without any second thought.

( everybody is observing that you are my wife, that's why I can't leave you on your own.)

His words made her feel weird in her stomach, two words, 'Mrs. Rathore' and 'biwi' would have so much effect on her? She was unaware of this.

But the next moment she shook her head and regained her composure. These words won't change the reality which only the two of them knew.

Reaching his room, he placed her on the couch and disappeared inside one of the three doors present in the room. She took her time noticing his preference.

The wall behind the bed was black, while the rest three walls were off-white. His bed was ivory, which had black bedsheets with bright prints on them, doors were wooden with old-style designs, and the floor was of grey abstract marble.

She was observing her surroundings when he came out with a box in his hand, precisely a first aid box.

Reaching near her, he placed the first aid kit on the table beside the couch and then bent to her level, while she bent back.

She looked into his eyes, confusion evident in her gaze. Stretching his hand, he picked up the landline beside her on the coffee table and called a helper while she sighed to herself.

Straightening his posture he looked towards her and said, " One of the helpers would come in a minute and help you with the dressing. " She nodded at his words while he furrowed his eyebrows.
