" Meet my wife. " A deep, almost provocative voice spoke.

She turned around, already knowing who it was. Akshar came and stood beside her, but instead of looking at her, he was looking straight at his father.

She sensed the tension in the atmosphere and was forced to think if there was something hidden from her.

However, before she could decide anything, Aarav held her shoulders from behind. He pushed her forward slightly before announcing," So people, this is our new family member. Akshar Bhai's wife, Dakshika Bhabhi-sa. "

" Come Dakshika beta, have a seat. " Bhagyashree Rathore said politely.

Looking at the family members, it appeared that they were deliberately trying to ignore the situation; she speculated that the two did not have a very good relationship, and the family was trying its best to avoid any kind of confrontation.

She gave them a small smile and answered with a 'Hmm'. But before she could buzz from her place, Aarav dragged her with him, settling her between himself and Nidhi. Soon enough, the others took their seats as well.

" Alright, then let's have dinner first and then discuss anything." Mahendra Rathod ordered, earning nods of agreement from the others.

While having dinner, she felt someone watching her; she raised her eyelids and moved her eyes around. Her gaze met with Akshar's, locking for a brief moment, but then she turned her attention back to her plate.

She wondered what did she do now to come under the Devil's Radar. Rewinding everything, she concluded that she would look after it later whenever she had to face him. Although his gaze lingered, suggesting he wasn't willing to let her off so easily.

Though she didn't look toward him again, she felt his gaze throughout the dinner.

As soon as the dinner was complete, they were all settled in the Living Hall, with the newlywed couple standing in front of them, ready to go through a round of rapid fire.

" Papa told us about the circumstances in which you married each other, and I believe none of you were at fault." Gautam Rathore said.

As Gautam spoke, Dakshika found herself fixated on the intricate marble floor design, not allowing her to lift her gaze.

" Whatever happened cannot be changed, no matter if you want it or not. And I believe you both should look forward to giving it a chance." Girish said, agreeing with his elder brother.

" I know it will be difficult, but just give it a try. Akshar, it's time to put aside your immaturity and act like the man you are expected to be, rather than the careless spoiled brat that you are. " Gautam Rathore said.

Dakshika felt the hidden taunt in his voice. It wasn't even hidden. From the periphery of her vision, she saw Akshar fisting his hand. She glanced up only to see him fuming.

Despite his efforts to remain composed, his clenched jaw and bulging veins betrayed his condition.

If the tense atmosphere when the two came face to face was enough to indicate strained relations between the two, this incident further confirmed it.

" I hope you give your best to this relation, may God bless you both. " Mahendra Rathore stated, to which Akshar replied with a "Ji." nodding his head.

" Why are you guys standing there? Come have a seat; we are not here for your interview; be relaxed. " Girish Rathore said in a cheerful tone.

Dakshika was yet again grabbed by Nidhi and Aarav, between them, while Akshar glared at them and then took the seat beside Arjun.
