THE BLONDE CLOSED THE TRUNK OF HER CAR when she loaded her last suitcase. Her sophomore year of college was about to start in a few weeks, but her preseason training camp was about to start tomorrow.
"Drive safe; call me when you get there." Mr. Bennett Lavelle said, giving his oldest daughter a hug full of love and proud
The girl smiled at her dad and nodded. "Yes, sir," she laughed.
The principal door of the house opened, and both saw two tiny children running towards them, with a sad expression on their faces. "No! Don't go, sissy," her younger brother shouted as he hugged her, trying to not let her go.
"I don't want to leave, buddy, but I'll be back soon, Dox." She hugged her little brother. As her sister joined, almost crying, she picked her up from the floor and placed her on the hip. "Why you're crying? You can tell your mommy to call me every time you want through the phone." She comforted her.
The little girl of only three years looked at her with her eyes filled with tears. "You're going to come back?" She asked.
The blonde laughed and smiled at the little girl. "Of course I will, Penny, who would be your number one client of the month," she said, making her sister laugh too.
"Drive safe, sweetheart, I love you." Her stepmother said she joined in a hug and took her sister on her arms so she could get in the car. "Say goodbye to your sister." Both of the kids waved at the girl who started driving.
Lavelle waved at her parents and focused on the road. She sighed and opened her energy drink. She was excited, getting back to school, training with the team, and finally she could see her friends. She was coming to this season with a lot of hunger for winning the national championship title, and no one would stop her from doing it.
THE BLONDE GIRL OPENED THE PRINCIPAL DOOR of her college house, which she shared with her four friends. As the girls who were having lunch on the dining table saw the roommate left, they screamed with excitement.
"Gigi!" They shouted, running at her to hug her. The four girls became inseparable since they met; they're like sisters; they share everything, and they love each other.
After having lunch and talking about everything about what happened at their different hometowns, Lavelle decided it was time to unpack everything so she could have everything ready for tomorrow.
As she finished hanging all her clothes in her closet and her makeup on the desk, she walked out of her bedroom to the kitchen so she could make her meal for tomorrow.
"Guess what," Callie, one of her roommates, says as she sits on the kitchen island.
"Tell me," she said. Meanwhile, she was cooking white rice and a piece of chicken on the stove while she paid attention to her friend.
Callie looked at her phone and laughed. "So I'm hooking up with this guy... He's on the basketball team, but he's kinda cool; I mean, he's not the best-looking boy I've been with, but" She explained to her friend.
"Who's this boy?" Gigi said, laughing at her friend while she put her food on a container.
The girl goes through her phone and types his name on the Instagram bar, then hands her phone to Lavelle so she can judge her summer fling. "He's the son of the coach of the basketball team. He's name is Connor." The blonde said, kind of ashamed of him.
"I have never seen him before," Gigi said, looking at more photos of the guy on his Instagram profile. "So... you like him or what?" She asked, giving the phone back to her friend.
"No, she only wants to confirm the rumors." Sophie, the only brunette on the house, walks into the kitchen to get into the girls talk.
Gigi looked at the girls with a confused face. "What rumors? She asked.
Both girls looked at each other and laughed. They don't know who started that rumor, but definitely it was Callie that needs to confirm if that was true. "That he's amazing in sex," Sophie rolled her eyes. "I don't believe it though.".
"Me either," Grayson makes her way to the girls, opening the fridge and joining in on the talk about the new guy who her friend is seeing.
Lavelle looks at Callie with a frown. She didn't believe they didn't have sex yet. "Well, he's not handsome, but there's only one way to know the truth, and we trust you to be the one who confirms the rumors," she said, and the girls busted laughing at the comment.
"I won't disappoint you guys," Callie says, joking while filling her water bottle with water.
Sophie and Gigi walk out of the kitchen to the hallway of their rooms.
"I'll be waiting impatiently to know if Connor McCaffrey is good at sex," Sophie laughs.
Gigi laughs too, as she opens the door of her bedroom. "Good night!" She shouts having a good night too in response to their three friends.
She closes the door and throws herself at the bed exhausted from the day, but she was very excited for tomorrow morning, for her first preseason training session, and she was so excited to get back in the court and see her teammates and coaches. She's ready.
She's ready to take Iowa to the national championships.
