CHAPTER 5: BEAST WORLD EXPLAINED

So I don't feel like explaining all of the beast world in a chapter bc it makes it hella long so I'm just going to explain it all here and then reference this in the future.

INHABITANTS OF THE BEASTWORLD:

They are called beastmen. Men are referred to as male and women are referred to as female. Men are the only ones in this world with a beast form. Women on the other hand do not have a beast form, but they have animal ears and tails that resemble which beast they are. Even though females are weaker than males they hold the most power in the beastworld.

POPULATION RATIO:

Women hold the most power because there are so few of them. The population in the beast world is 1 female to every 10,000 males. So as you can see females are treasured. However, most females are entitled and spoiled. They cause fights and schemes in order to hurt others. This has caused many wars and has hurt the population.

Female fertility here is very low. They have what's called a "heat" which they only have once a year. However, most females can't conceive every heat. This leads to a decline in the population. Gestation for females and males differs. If it's a male development depends on what beast the father is. If it's a female regardless of the father they take nine months like all humans.

MATES/ MATE MARKS

To acknowledge the relationship between beast men and women they have what's called a mating mark. The relationship between the two is called mates. This is a mark that appears on the female's body. It helps to deter weaker beastmen from approaching. The mark will appear as the animal of the beastman you are mated to. The more the male is loved the darker the color will be. (I don't like how the closer to your heart the more you're loved. Though it's a cute thought it's such a small area and I feel like one as an anklet would be cute. Like he's worshiping in the ground you walk on.) Females also have the power to bestow their beast's mark onto their males but since they are so spoiled and selfish this fact has been long forgotten.

Females also have the power to erase the mate mark. To do this females need to slice the mate mark and say "I BLANK cancel my bond with BLANK. I acknowledge that this will turn him into a savage and that he shall lose his sanity." Females knowing the male will lose their sanity use the threat of severing the mate mark to get what they want from their mates even if their mates do not want to. Females can have more than one mate while males can only have one for the rest of their lives.

DIFFERENT CITIES AND VILLAGES

Here in the beast world, they live in villages or cities. Villages only have around a few thousand beastmen while cities have more than a hundred thousand bestmen. Their lifestyles are very primitive. They live in mud or stone houses, and fire is used mostly for roasting meat and village bonfire celebrations but other than that it is rarely used.

SAVAGES

Savages are crazed beastmen who roam the beastworld. They are males who have had their beast marks removed and have lost their ability to feel. Once the mate mark is severed they slowly become deranged and try to kill anything insight never to regain their sanity again.
