I am walking Along side a river. Everything seemed still and silent. The whole world seemed gray and the mood felt suffocating. It felt like... Death. I wanted to run but my legs would only let me walk. I wanted to run away from everything. That's when I heard a twig snap.
The only sound I've heard since I've been walking. I haven't heard leaves crunching under my feet. I haven't heard the rushing of the river current pushing against stones.
Slowly I turned around, only to see him.
"Hey Pine Tree! It's been a week, you know? Or don't you? I don't know... Do you have a watch?"
I say nothing.
"Okay stay silent... I guess you're getting practice for when you're dead."
When he said that it sent chills down my back.
"Okay this silence is getting awkward so I'm going to possess you now." He moved towards me.
"No."
"No?"
"Yeah you heard me, I said no. What are you going to do about it?"
"Ohohoho Pine Tree, you shouldn't have said that... Now we are going to have to do this the hard way. The painful way."
He came towards me as I tried to push him away. My noodle arms tried to hold him back as he edged me towards the edge of the river.
"You know Shooting Stars sure are pretty when they fall," He kept pushing me. "But when Pine Trees fall... they rot." And he pushed me off of the ledge.
The water was freezing as I sunk. My side hit the stones and my lungs were burning as they filled with water. the only thing I could think was how ironic it was for me to fall in exact river where Mabel met her fate. Then everything was white.

Authors note:
Sorry this chapter is short and it took so long! But hey, you got to build suspense! And I've had to rewrite this chapter like 8 times because I realized that my original idea was way too dark and out of character (which I've already pushed the limit in this fan fiction.) So please enjoy and go on a feel trip.
