(Bright and Win (Win as a woman) are sitting in their living room, the tension between them palpable. They have been married for years but are no longer happy. Bright starts the difficult conversation.)
Bright: (sighing) Win, we need to talk. This... this isn't working anymore. We're both miserable.
Win: (nodding sadly) I know, Bright. I've been feeling the same way. I think it's time we discuss a divorce.
Bright: (looking down) I hate that it's come to this. But if we're both unhappy, maybe it's for the best.
Win: (hesitant) There's something I need to tell you before we make any decisions. I'm pregnant, Bright. With our child.
Bright: (shocked) Pregnant? Win, this changes everything. We can't just give up now. We have to try again, for our child.
Win: (shaking her head) No, Bright. There's no love left between us. Bringing a child into this won't fix our problems. It's better for the baby if we part ways now.
(Bright reluctantly agrees, and they proceed with the divorce. Months later, Win gives birth to a baby boy named Light. One day, Bright is walking in the park and sees Win with a young child who looks strikingly familiar.)
Bright: (approaching hesitantly) Win? Is that... is that our son?
Win: (turning to face him) Yes, Bright. This is Light.
Bright: (kneeling down to Light's level) Hi there, Light. I'm your dad. (looks back at Win) Win, please. Let's try again. We can be a family.
Win: (sighing heavily) Bright, there's something you need to know. I have a sickness, and it's serious. The doctors don't know how long I have left.
Bright: (tears welling up) Win, I'm so sorry. I was so caught up in our problems, I didn't see what was happening. Please, forgive me.
Win: (softly) I forgive you, Bright. We both made mistakes. But it's too late for us now.
(Bright spends as much time as he can with Win and Light, cherishing every moment. After Win passes away, Bright raises Light on his own. Years later, Light, now a young gentleman, takes his elderly father, Bright, to Win's grave.)
Light: (gently) Dad, we're here.
Bright: (standing in front of the grave, tears streaming down his face) Win, I'm so sorry for everything. I wish I had been a better husband to you. I hope you can forgive me. I still love you, even now. I always will.
(Bright kneels, placing flowers on the grave, memories of their time together flooding his mind. He feels a sense of peace, knowing he has finally expressed his feelings.)
Light: (putting a hand on Bright's shoulder) Dad, she knows. She always knew. And she loved you too.
Bright: (smiling through his tears) Thank you, Light. For everything.
(They stand together, father and son, paying their respects and cherishing the love and memories they shared with Win.)
