The doctor's orders were clear: Emilia needed to rest for at least another three days. Liam took it upon himself to ensure she didn't get bored, bringing her books, games, and even setting up a mini movie theater in her room.
But it was Marcus who brought the most joy to Emilia's day. The little boy would visit her every hour, bearing gifts of fresh flowers he'd picked from the garden. Emilia's face would light up as she accepted the colorful bouquets, and in return, she'd show Marcus her magic.
With a flick of her wrist, Emilia would make the flowers bloom in mid-air, changing colors and shapes before Marcus's wonder-filled eyes. The little boy would squeal with delight, asking for more, and Emilia would happily oblige.
Liam would watch, smiling, as Emilia and Marcus spent hours together, lost in their own little world of magic and wonder. He'd join in occasionally, playing games with them or reading stories aloud, but mostly, he was content to simply be near Emilia, watching her laugh and smile.
As the days passed, Emilia grew stronger, her magic flourishing as she spent more time with Marcus. The little boy's visits became the highlight of her day, and she'd eagerly anticipate his arrival, ready to show him new and exciting things.
Liam, meanwhile, was grateful to see Emilia happy and thriving. He knew she still had a long way to go, but for now, he was content to simply be by her side, enjoying the little moments they shared together.

As Emilia continued to recover, Liam, Ava, Elijah, and Marcus began making plans for a getaway to a secluded village. The idea was to escape the chaos and danger that had beset them, and find a peaceful haven where they could relax and recharge.
The village, nestled in a remote valley, was surrounded by rolling hills and dense forests. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy each other's company, away from the prying eyes of the world.
But Liam couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He was worried that the shadow beasts might follow them, seeking to finish what they had started. He vowed to remain vigilant, to be always on the lookout for any signs of danger.
"I'll be ready," Liam said, his eyes scanning the horizon. "When we leave, I'll make sure we're prepared for anything."
Ava nodded in agreement. "We'll all be on the lookout. We won't let our guard down."
Emilia, sensing Liam's tension, reached out and took his hand. "We'll face whatever comes our way, together," she said, her voice filled with determination.
Marcus, sensing the seriousness of the moment, looked up at the group with wide eyes. "I'll help too," he said, his small voice filled with bravery.
Elijah smiled, ruffling Marcus's hair. "We'll all work together, kiddo. We'll keep each other safe."
And so, with a plan in place, they waited for Emilia to fully recover, their minds set on the peaceful village and the adventures that awaited them.

The doctor's words were music to Emilia's ears: "You're ready to go, Emilia. You've made a remarkable recovery."
But as Emilia's excitement grew, her mind suddenly flashed back to Liam's worn face, his sunken eyes, and his pale skin. She remembered how he had barely eaten, sacrificing his own well-being to care for her.
Emilia's expression turned stern, her eyes narrowing. "Liam, how could you?" she scolded, her voice firm but laced with concern. "You didn't take care of yourself while I was unconscious, did you?"
Liam looked sheepish, his eyes avoiding Emilia's gaze. "I was fine, Emilia. Don't worry about me."
But Emilia wouldn't let it go. "Fine? You look like you've lost weight! Before we leave for the village, we're going to stock up on food, and you're going to eat a decent meal for once."
Liam chuckled, trying to protest, but Emilia was insistent. She dragged him to the market, forcing him to buy all sorts of goodies: juicy meats, fresh fruits, and crusty bread.
As they shopped, Emilia teased Liam, saying, "I'm going to fatten you up, so you can't complain about being hungry anymore!"
Liam laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement, happy to see Emilia's feisty spirit return.
With their bags full of food, they set off towards the village, Emilia ensuring that Liam ate a hearty meal before they departed. As they journeyed, Emilia kept a close eye on Liam, making sure he snacked regularly, her love and care for him evident in every gesture.
