***Navaeh's P.O.V.***

The days leading up to Niall's return to touring were filled with endless amounts of cuddling and kissing. There was something... liberating about being in a relationship with my best friend. There was no pressure to get to know him right away; we had spent years doing that already and it paved the way for a great relationship as well. Trust wasn't really an issue either. I didn't have to worry about whether or not Niall would remain faithful while away in the states. I just... I felt so at ease even with him being far away.

We kept in touch whenever we could. With Uni shifting my schedule and the tour shifting his, there were days when it was difficult to catch a break long enough to talk. We managed, though; there were a few days where I thought I would go absolutely insane from not being able to talk to him, but the feeling didn't last forever. I must confess that I was more than happy when he was coming back to the UK. It was about... four weeks before Harry and Elizabeth's wedding when they were coming back?

I had had an art exhibit the day that Niall and the boys came back from America; sadly, it was a mandatory grade for my class to be there. So, I wasn't able to go to the airport when he was arriving. No, I had to stand around in a tight ass dress and talk to people about the deeper meaning of my art while all I wanted to do was go back to the flat and wait for him to be back. I mean, it wasn't the worst place to be in; I was enjoying conversing with my fellow artists about things that would probably bore Niall. However, I hadn't seen my artificial blond in at least a month and I was beyond the point of missing him greatly.

The exhibit ended later than I would have liked; my class' teacher made all of us stay behind so that he could tell us about how wonderfully civil we had all been. I was happy to leave as soon as I was allowed to; Niall had left me the car when he went on tour and I had been taking full advantage of it. It was definitely nice to be able to drive to a place instead of walking. Plus, it only added me in getting home a little more quickly that day.

I practically shook with excitement by the time that I was pulling up in the driveway. The lights were still off in the flat so I had assumed that he wasn't there. Letting out a heavy sigh as I shut the door behind me, I slipped off my heels and put them by the coat rack. My eyes caught on one of the coat hanging up there; the denim jacket that Niall had taken with him on tour. I sighed again, this one more from disappointment than anything else; I had really been hoping to be at the flat when he arrived. Nevertheless, I was happy that he was back and that I was a few steps closer to seeing him.

With a slight skip in my step, I wandered up the stairs to our shared room and struggled to start pulling down the zipper of my dress as I walked. By the time that I reached the door to the room, I had managed to get the zipper all the way down. The door to our room was cracked slightly; the quiet buzz of conversation came from the wall mounted TV, and Niall's snores mixed in with it. Trying to hide my giggle at hearing his snoring, I pushed the door open a little more so that I could slip inside. Quickly, I slipped out of my tight black dress and pulled out one of the shirts that Niall had left me when he went on tour; I knew that he would appreciate being able to actually see me in it.

As quietly as possible, I made my way over to the bed where Niall was still sound asleep. He must've really been tired since he didn't even stir when I pulled the blankets away, exposing him to the cold air in the room. He did whine a little, but he didn't wake up until I had actually gotten into the bed and cuddled up behind him. There was that little groan of his, the one that he let out when he was awoken earlier than he would have liked.

"Navaeh?" he mumbled out in question as he let out a few more grumbles and struggled to turn towards me. My arm was wrapped around his waist; a feeble attempt to be the big spoon in that situation, but I could tell that it wouldn't last for long. Niall liked being the big spoon and he wouldn't stop pestering me until I let him.

I pressed my forehead to the space between his shoulder blades, taking in his familiar scent before relaxing fully. "Hey, Niall," I whispered back to him, feeling him start to shift some more. Eventually, he was facing me on the bed, my arm back by my side as I finally got to see his jovial expression. He raised his hand to my cheek, pushing a few strands of hair off of my face. I nudged his hand a little bit, liking the warmth that came along with having Niall nearby.

We sat in silence for a long time after that; there was nothing that needed to be said in that moment. He only spoke when both of our smiles had practically reached to our ears. "I missed you," he told me, scooting closer to me on the bed so that he could press his lips to mine quickly.

"I missed you too," I returned the words and the kiss, only pulling away when it felt necessary; "sorry that I wasn't here when you got home." Niall shook his head, pressing his finger to my lips to stop my apologies and letting a small laugh slip past his lips when I scrunched my face at him.

"Don't worry about it; you had that grade, I understand," he replied, "How did it go, by the way?"

"I'll tell you in the morning," I answered, just wanting to snuggle up to my boyfriend and sleep peacefully for the first time in a month. Throughout the whole time that he was gone, I had had to deal with a few nightmares and not so wonderful memories. I had gotten through it, of course, but that didn't make it any easier.

He hummed slightly, pulling me closer after another quick kiss, "that tired, my little mofo?"

I nodded against his chest, "but I'm sure you're beat too."

"Oh I am," he laughed lightly, dragging his hand through my hair and letting out a small, content sigh. After a short pause, he spoke up with words that sounded like an afterthought, "it's good to be back."

Just the first chapter, so nothing very earth shattering. I warn you, though; this story really is going to be filled with fluff.
