"No one really knows why they are alive until they know what they'd die for."
- Martin Luther King Jr.I gently shake Elena awake, whispering softly.
"Hey, it's time to go home," I say.
Elena nods sleepily, slowly sitting up on the couch.
"Coffee machines in the kitchen and I should have some clothes that'll fit you in my wardrobe," I say
Elena got dressed and sipped on a cup of coffee before we began the journey to her house. As we arrived, we spotted Vicki Donovan, and I could hear her heartbeat had faded.

Jeremy nods in appreciation before heading downstairs to check on Elena.

Vicki looks at me, confusion and longing in her eyes. "Will I be better?" she questions. "I just want to go home."
A sudden impact strikes my stomach, sending a sharp pang of pain through my body. "Ugh, it's wood, they know," I murmur, grimacing as I rise to my feet. I swiftly dispatch each and every council member, leaving a trail of lifeless bodies behind.
Despite my weakened state, I managed to address Vicki, but my voice was strained. "Stefan will be here soon," I say. "He'll help you."
