The seamstress kicked everyone out, but Charlotte couldn't help noticing hazel eyes looking her way from far away. She had pink cheeks, trying to look elseware. Her thoughts running rampid.
'He loves her, not you. He was just admiring the dress, thats all'
The seamstress was turning her around and looking to see where it needed to be tucked in and adjusted.
"Would you mind putting your hair up?" She asked. Luckly she had a pony tail and put it up. "You look fantastic. The reckles, the curls of your hair, ah, magnafique," She said.
Charlotte blushed a bit at the comments, she hadn't worn something like this in a while.
"Your boyfriend thinks so too," She said, pulling a bit.
"He isn't my boyfriend, he is the groom," she said, sounding a bit dissapointed with that coming from her mouth. The seamstress came to the front of her and looked around her breasts and waist, seeing if anything was too big or tight.
"You sure? He has yet to take his eyes off of you," She said. Even she noticed the way he looked at her right then. Her blue eyes looked up and caught his hazel ones yet again. She looked away and kept looking away, unless told to do so.
"Well the good news, I don't need to do much altering. Just need you come in on the day of the rehersal so we can make sure it works," she said. Charlotte changed and walked out to find that everyone was gone.
That was until Jason came over and brought her something. It was a green drink. She eyed him.
"Mint chocolate chip your favorite still?" He asked. She looked at him questingly.
"It is, but why?" She asked. Slowly taking what looked to be a milkshake.
"The girls went to get some stuff," he said.
"Where did you find this?" She asked. He pointed to what looked like an ice cream shop across the way. she shrugged her shoulders and just started to drink it, she wasn't gonna say no to her favorite.
They started to walk towards where the group was.
"Hey Char?" he questioned.
"Hm?"
"You looked fantastic in that dress," he just said out of the blue. she inhaled too much and started to choke a bit.
"Excuse me?" she asked, finally catching her breath.
"You looked beautiful in that gown," he repeated in a way. She stared forward.
"Oh, thank you,"She said. She turned towards him and noticed he was facing away, blushing.
'Its just the dress' she thought to herself.
"Why did you get me this? I thought you hated me," She said, trying to get answers and break the tension.
"I don't hate you, Charlotte," He said. She looked at him, confused. The tension was back. Once they reached the rest of the group, Macy hung onto him like crazy.
"Where did you get that?" She asked, pointing to the milkshake.
"There was a ice cream shop across the way, I just wanted to try it," She said. She did not want to get in trouble, or get Jason in trouble either. The rest of the group nodded and went off to talking, Macy pulling Jason along.
Charlotte could just see his eyes continuing to watch her.
'Just making sure i'm following and not being left behind again'
Their day went on and then the three of them where on their way back. Macy leaned over and rubbed Jason's leg, Charlotte tried to ignore it, and was able to until they got back. Macy dragged in all of her bags and just laid them on the ground in the dining room, her eyes continuing to watch the other two.
