She clutched the necklace, her tears where streaming down her face. Nothing was going her way this trip. The groom was a former friend and possible crush, her stepsister keeps wanting the necklace, her room is trashed, and she has to be involved in everything. She just doesn't know what to do right now.

After about 2 hrs crying and in her room, she relaxed and looked around, just knowing that she had to clean her room now. Walking to the far side of the room, she looked to see that she had pulled everything.

She ran a hand through her hair and started to laugh, for a girl who wanted it so badly, she never really looked.

Charlotte did give her credit though, not many people would trash their stepsisters room looking for a little piece of jewelry, she was desperate.

But the fact that she went through her sketchbooks and portfolios said  just as much. Calming down, the first place to start was her drawings. The good news was that they weren't in any particular order when they where stored, and they all had dates, so she knew when they where done.....

'I really probably should start organizing them' She thought. Picking them up, she noticed a few of them where from her highschool years. Her smile just kept growing, she looked through the pictures of rooms, the track, field, and the one of the pool when she first saw Jason swimming.

She had remembered that day unlike any other. He had been begging her to come see him and in the end she did, but decided to bring her sketchbook and it got a bit wet, but they had won the meet that year. Flipping to the next picture, she stopped and looked at it.

It was a picture he had asked her to draw their Junior year, she never did give it to him. It looked like a true picture, him with his friends after they won the city meet. She had based some stuff off of the picture they had taken, but she added the special details that she had remembered from that day.

But by the time she had finished, everything had already happened, so she just shoved it away in her portfolio. Now that she looked at it, it wasn't compleatly done. She had forgotton her signature. After doing that, she then decided that she would gift it as a wedding present.

That way at least, he would have it like he should, and she wouldn't look at it, longing for memories and someone she knew that she wouldn't be able to have. She rolled it up and placed it in her drawer before cleaning everything else up.

The noise sounded like it had died down. Opening the door, she noticed a few people moving around and talking. Most of the party must have left. Walking down the stairs, she looked around, seeing everyone had moved to the dining room and seemed pretty chilled out.

Macy looked like she was doing much better, and was flaunting something, probably the present that Jason had gifted her. Charlotte snuck around and went to the library, just to escape it all, and hope no one was in there.

This was a tendancy at her fathers parties, while people where dignified and talked business, someone somewhere was sleeping around, causing a mess and wouldn't get ready or leave till the next morning....and half the time they would forget to lock the door.

She walked in on someone once when they used to live in the states, not fun. But at least they where married, she dredded walking in on someone cheating, that would have been a bit harder to explain when she was a bit younger.

Knocking and openng the door, the coast looked clear and then she locked the door. Lighting the fire and walking around to the sofa, she relaxed and opened the window to the cool breeze.

The library was more comforting than others gave it credit for. The breeze came in but it wasn't cold enough to bother her, especially when the fire was blazing. Her mind went wild, thinking of a place like this, the library more so than anything.
