The sun was up before anyone knew it. The wedding was about 2 months away, that was until they announced that since everything was practically ready, they where gonna have it October 12th.
Charlotte's trip just got worse.
'October 12th....but thats...thats....' she thought. She knew she wouldn't get a say. What Macy wanted, she got. Jason didn't even seem phased by the change, yet again.
Once the announcement was done and everyone was chatting, Charlotte snuck away to be by herself. It was one wacky thing after another. The only good things that happened was her dress fitting great and her father taking her side yet again on the necklace.
She was used to this, but now since she was older, it was one thing after another. She pulled herself together and went to the door to head on out. To go mingle and pretend like nothing was wrong.
But as she opened the door, she smashed into a chest, and fell back while clutching her nose. Opening her eyes and looking up, she saw that it was Jason.
"Jay, ouch. What can I do for you?" she asked touhing her nose gently.
He smiled, she used his nickname whenever he was in truble. Only he wasn't really in trouble now, but he didn't mind, it was nice to hear it.
"You just ran up here quite quickly, I thought I would see if your ok?"
"I'm fine, just needed to compose myself because of the date."
"Why? It's just a day."
'Just a day? Does he really not remember'
He looked at her and saw horror and sadness. "Char?"
"Your right, its just a day. 2 weeks away, nothing special but your wedding. I should go," She then took off leaving Jason to stand there, wondering why she was acting like this.
As his friend, she should be happy for him and her sister, especially if everything is going so well that they would have it earlier than expected.
Walking back downstairs, he noticed his mother in the kitchen, contemplating something.
"Mom?"
"Oh hey honey, i just texted Stacy and Buck, they got an earlier flight and will be here tomorrow," She said with a smile.
"Thats wonderful, but whats wrong?" He asked.
"I just feel like I forgot something," She said. Shrugging her shoulders, she then walked off to join the rest of the party. He mingled with the crowd, most people who where known to Macy's parents, or more so her father.
He came about a scene he never thought he would see. Julian Adams, the star pitcher in high school, and he was talking to Charlotte. She looked upset and he patted her shoulder, trying to comfort her. It wasn't working. Jason set his glass aside and sped over to see them.
"Honey, come on, I want you to meet some people," Macy said and dragged him off. He kept watching Julian escort her out of the room. He kept trying to see what was going on, where they where, but he didn't see them for a while. Macy just kept introducing him to people, keeping him distracted and ignoring the fact that he wanted to get away for a bit, to breath.
After a while, she ended up talking to some of her girlfriends and ignored him. Which he was glad, he could escape and try to find Charlotte.
Stepping outside, he took a few deep breaths and felt the fall breeze hit his face, it felt wonderful. He heard rustling and snuck around only to see, Charlotte in more tears and Julian hugging her, rubbing her back.
Her smile was bright and a bit happy, a little bit in contrast with her tears.
He turned back around and went back into the party, finding a drink and downing it. He kept doing it, and no one knew why. Julian brought Charlotte back in, her face compleatly devoide of tears.
"Jason, lets make a toast," Macy said, getting everyone's attention. They al looked happy, he just looked and felt miserable, but agreed. Grabbing a drink, he stood up with her and looked out at the crowd.
"A toast, to the love of my life and our future," he said. he looked around and noticed Julian holding her on the side. It was just making him upset, he didn't know if it it was based on the alcohol, or if he was just upset. She looked up towards Julian, and gave a small nod and smile.
His caring smile bothered him. Jason moved away from Macy and took his drink with him upstairs. He didn't know where he was going, he just needed to be out of that atmosphere right now. Away from Charlotte.
This wasn't supposed to happen, he wasn't supposed to feel anything except the love and joy of his wedding day and his fiance. He felt a few hands on him, his mind finally getting fuzzy from the drinks.
"Jason, Jason my dear. Let me get into something, then we can go to bed," The voice said. He didn't know who it sounded like, but he didn't want it, not one bit. He started to move, and opened a door, closing it slowly, just hoping that they didn't see him come in here. He downed the rest of his drink ad just lead up against the edge of the bed. he heard mumbling and felt his mind freak out as he saw someone open the door and close it, running towards him.
