Godsdammit, Dylan!

"Holy shit!" Was all Jason could say when he looked up at the sky.

There was a—Jason didn't even know—hurricane, maybe? It was definitely too small to be a hurricane but it was causing enough damage to be as shitty as one.

Jason's head turned when he heard the screaming coming from the kids. They were running from the glass platform towards the building. A notebook flew through the air, almost smacking Jason in the face, before toppling to its demise over the edge of the canyon.

Jason could see Leo having trouble getting off the skywalk and ran over to him, grabbing his hand and pulling Leo until they were on solid, less glassy ground.

Piper had pulled one of the doors open, ushering kids inside. Leo rushed over and grabbed the other door handle, holding it open as well. Jason helped rush the kids inside, having to pull a couple up because of the trampling the crowd had caused.

Once all the kids were inside, the doors smacked shut. Piper gripped the handle bars and almost popped her arms out of the socket in an attempt to open the doors, but no use. Leo tugged on the handles as well, but, just like when Piper tried, the doors wouldn't budge.

"Dylan!" Piper screamed. "Help us!"

Dylan's head turned way too slow, his apparently significant stupid grin still on his face. It sent chills up Jason's spine.

"Sorry, Piper." Even Dylan's voice was creepy now. "I'm done helping"

Nothing could've prepared Jason for what was about to happened in the next ten or so minutes.

Piper sprinted towards Jason and Coach Hedge, picking up a discarded pencil and holding it like she was ready to stab someone—or something—with it. Leo didn't run, he wasn't able to. He was too close to Dylan so running wouldn't help anyone. So Leo resorted to just standing in the same spot, glaring at Dylan.

Dylan faced Jason, he was clearly about to attack but had stupidly turned his back to Leo, who lunged at him. But Dylan just flicked his wrist and Leo hit the ground behind Dylan with a loud thump.

"Leo!" Jason yelled out to him. The picture of the small boy sprawled across the ground was so terrifying it made Jason's legs shake. He wanted to run towards Leo, but once he tried the coach held him back.

Jason struggled against the coach's grasp. "Let me go!" His hands came off of Jason, but he didn't leave his spot. Jason knew better than to run. The coach moved in front of Piper and Jason.

"Stay behind me, cupcakes. Gods, I should've known that was our monster."

Jason felt like he was slowly going insane. "What monster? What the hell are you talking about?"

That's when the coaches hat flew off, effectively smacking Jason in the face, revealing two bumps—not bumps, horns. Jasons day couldn't get any weirder.

Coach hedge raised his bat, preparing to fight, but his bat wasn't the same as it was earlier. It now had a couple leaves sticking out of it, it looked almost like a tree branch.

Dylan was still smiling, his bright, inhumane eyes giving him a crazed look. "Calm down, coach, let the boy fight me."

Coach Hedge gritted his teeth, not answering the boy.

"You too old, I don't know why you aren't retired already." Dylan ended with a smirk.

"There's no way in Hades I am letting you near any of these kids again." Did he just say Hades?

Dylan sighed. "I tried to warn you."

He flicked his wrist over to the direction of Piper. She screamed in terror as the rock beneath her crumbled. Jason watched in horror as Piper slid down the canyon wall, clawing for a ledge to grab onto.

Somehow, Piper managed to get her hand around a small ledge and held herself there.

"I have no clue who you are, kid, but take care of this guy while I get Piper."

"How are you—"

Jasons question was answered for him as that the coach kicked off his shoes and pants to reveal hoofs and goats legs.

"You're a faun."

The coach grimaced "Satyr!" He yelled. "Fauns are Roman."

And he jumped down towards Piper.

Jason would've never thought that Coach Hedge of all people—satyrs?—could scale the side of a canyon with such ease and agility but that's exactly what he did.

Coach got down to Piper and pulled her up with him as he climbed back up the canyon.

This left Jason with Dylan

"Hey." Jason grumbled.

"Where's all the excitement?" Dylan opened his mouth again but Jason had no time for chit chat

Jason scooped up the coaches baseball bat and flung it at Dylan, but he simply moved his head to doge the bat. But just as it was about to pass Dylan, it flew, midair, towards him and smacked him on the head so hard he fell to his knees.

The baseball bat landed near Leo's body. Jason saw that Leo was slowly gaining consciousness again. His eyes fluttered open and he reached out, grabbing for the baseball bat in front of him.

Leo didn't look like the one to be able to even survive that hard of a fall, but, damn, did he recover fast.

Dylan stood up, dazed but not dead. "You'll have to try harder than that."

Dylan became a body of black smoke. His eyes were sparks of electric, dark vapor wings protruding from his back.

"Ventus." Jason spoke under his breath.
"That's what you are, you're... you're a storm spirit."

Jason had no idea what he was talking about but Dylan seemed to understand.

"I was going to just kill the two demigods but I'm so happy I waited. My mistress warned me a third would arrive, I will be rewarded greatly for handing your lifeless body over to her."

Two more smoke... People? Children? Didn't really matter, two more smoke things appeared on either side of Dylan.

Jason glanced at Leo. He had got himself to lean on his elbows, but still low enough that it had convinced the storm spirits he was still down. He was pale, too pale, and shaking but gave Jason a look of determination.

Distract them, Leo mouthed. He swung the bat softly. Jason got the memo. Keep the storm things attention and let Leo beat them up. Easy peasy.

Jason sure wished he remembered having Leo as a boyfriend. Adorable, crafty, and a menace to society. What's better than that?

Jason made both hands into a fist, ready to charge on Dylan and his goons. Dylan lazily raised a hand. The sound of Thunder filled the air. Jason felt a spark, a shock all over his body and collapsed to the ground.

The taste of peanut butter and... wait, aluminum foil, filled Jason's mouth.

It took Jason by surprise when he figured out what happened, what he had just survived.

Jason had just been struck by lighting.

The bolt had blasted his left shoe off, his toes covered in black soot. Jason could see Hedge pulling Piper up the cliff.
Leo was on his feet, yelling curses at the storms spirits and swinging the club.

It was no use. The storm spirits just laughed as the bat passed right through them. Jason rose to his feet, balancing himself before facing his opponent again.

"You'll have to try harder than that." He mimicked.

Dylan and his storm babies—Jason was just calling them whatever now—turned towards the smoking boy. No, literally, Jason was smoking.

Dylan was shocked (pun intended) and Leo was staring at Jason with awe and confusion.

"That was enough lighting to kill a village how—"

Jason stopped him. "My turn."

He reached into his pocket, pulling out a gold coin. He flipped it into the air, a shiny sword in his hand a second later.
