I played with my lock pendant. I couldn't force myself to take it off. It was a reminder of the love me and Isabella once had. Katelyn didn't know that Isabella had the other half. She just thought it was a pendant I wore normally. Why was I thinking about Isabella on the day I got engaged? I should be thinking about my current fiance and not her. I should be happy too, like the day I asked Isabella to marry me. I was happy but just not as happy.

"Hey baby," I heard someone say. I quickly stuffed the pendant in my shirt. I turned around and put a smile on my face.

"Hey love," I said to Katelyn. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me.

"I'm so excited! I can't wait until we get married,"she said, kissing me.

"Ya me too," I said.

"I promise it will be nothing like your last marriage. We will be together forever."

Funny, that's what Isabella and I used to say. But that didn't happen.

My phone started to ring. I dug around in to my pocket trying to find it.

"Do you mind if I take this, it's probably one of the boys," I said looking at the caller id. Sure enough it was Harry.

"No go ahead," she said with a smile. She turned around and left the room.

"Hi Harry," I said in to the phone.

"Why didn't you say you were getting engaged!? Congrats mate!" he yelled. I had to pull the phone away from my ear because he was yelling so loud.

"Sorry, I was just about to meet up with you guys. Wait, how did you find out?" I asked, curiously.

"Um Nicole told me," he said.

"How did Nicole find out?"

"Um, Isabella."

"Oh great," I said, sighing.

"Well maybe you should give her a call," Harry suggested.

"I think that would just make it worse, if she's already upset with me," I said, rubbing my temples.

"Ya but don't think about that now, your engaged! The past is the past and this is you moving on with your life."

"You're right Harry! I better call the other boys. Wanna meet up tonight?"

"Ya sure, just text me the details."

"Ok bye Harry."

"Bye, see ya later."

1 week later

"Ok I called your lawyer to get the marriage certificates and stuff,' said Katelyn.

"Wait, already? We've only been engaged for like a week. Relax babe," I said with a chuckle. I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I know, I know but I want to get all the legal stuff done and out of the way first. Especially since your last marriage was a short time ago. And then we can spend the rest of the time planning and doing other things," she said with a wink, running her hand down my chest. She pressed her lips to mine.

We were interrupted by her phone ringing. She answered it. She said ok and then hung up the phone.

"The lawyer says he wants to talk to us and to meet him at his office," she said.

"Ok, sounds good," I said grabbing my keys.

We sat down in front of the lawyer. Katelyn grabbed my hand resting it on my knee.

"So I'm glad you decided to do this early. It makes my job easier," he said. Katelyn shot me a look like she was saying,"I told you so."

"But I ran into some problems," he said.

"What problems?" Katelyn asked squeezing my hand tightly.

"Um well it seems that Mr. Horan's ex wife didn't uh," he stopped and scratched his head.

"Didn't what?" she said angrily.

"She didn't sign the divorce papers," he said. My mouth dropped. I looked over to see Katelyn's jaw clenched with anger.

"No that must be a mistake, I signed the papers," I said.

"You signed them but she did not," he said handing me the papers. I looked down at the bottom to see my signature and only mine. "You and Isabella Horan are still married."
