Not a single word was spoken to each other since their argument.

Red's been successfully avoiding Chloe like the plague at every chance she got, despite the blue haired princess' many attempts to apologize and make amends. But between the endless hours in the library or the amphitheater, there was no good or right time -- and with each passing day, Red spent more and more time out of their room away from Chloe.

Red's last words echo in Chloe's ears. But you would've liked to see it as long as it saved your precious mother. If Chloe could turn back time and prevent their argument from happening, she would.

Actually, she could. But she won't.

Chloe groans loudly from the guilt, earning a few confused stares from those around her.

"Alright, what happened between you and Wonder girl?"

Chloe's eyes widen uncharacteristically as her body jolts, completely unaware that she had made a noise in the first place. Quickly, she slaps a hand over her mouth, turning with an humiliated gaze to see who asked that. When she meets the unamused face of her best friend, she can't help but hide her face in embarrassment, a red hue rushing to her cheeks.

Ria, the daughter of Rapunzel, laughs at the blue haired princess' unusual mannerism, and Chloe swears she could feel her face getting redder by the second.

"Sorry?"

"Don't act dumb, Clo-Clo. I don't see your little strawberry girl anywhere near you, and I haven't seen you guys together within the past few days," Ria said. "You guys are like peas in a pod, I'm pretty sure you hangout with her more than you hangout with me and our friend group. Now you look like some sad puppy when she's not around."

"I do not!" Chloe exclaims before frowning. "Do I?"

"Yes, it's depressing. So what happened between you two?"

Chloe sighs heavily. "I don't know. We used that spell you and your brother gave me on my birthday, and afterwards, it just turned into this whole argument. I don't think I did anything, but I've tried to apologize to her about it but she's been ignoring me. Even in our room, she refuses to talk to me. And I just..."

"You miss her," Ria finishes her sentence.

She hesitates for a few moments before sighing one again, unable to lie to herself any longer. "Yeah, I do. I miss my friend."

"Sure, yeah, you miss your friend," Ria rolls her eyes unconvinced, throwing air quotations around the last word.

Chloe doesn't notice, too busy sitting in her own thoughts as she thinks back to their adventures. Like how when Chloe broke her glass shoes, Red had given her new ones. She could care less that they were technically stolen. As long as it was from Red, she'd love them.

Red's laughs, Red's confidence, Red's rebellious nature which she's come to adore. How Red made her smile, how Red changed her view about her.

With every thought, her heart beats faster. She misses Red.

There's a crack in her heart, like a paper cut -- small and yet it hurt like hell.

"Okay, come on, frowny face," Ria said. "Let's go before Mr. H yells at us for being late to Physical Enrichment."

Ria intertwines an arm with hers. The two made their way to the other side of the building which had a large gym with lockers situated on the side, one for boys and one for girls. They were quick to get ready, considering that the locker room would soon be crowded with twenty other girls.

Sword and shield. That's what today's activity was for Physical Enrichment. On top of that, they were assigned partners instead of being able to choose them like usual.
