Chapter 11

They arrived at the VIP ward, there were doctors waiting for them at the door, The old man's family member stood nervously at the door.

When they heard footsteps, they instantly looked up and rushed over to them. Jaden paused avoiding their touch.

" Little boy, I heard my grandfather woke up." The young woman asked.

"Hmmn, it's expected." Jaden nodded as he made his way through the people. He and other doctors disinfected themselves and entered the ICU.

The old man opened his eyes and turned his head to the door. Jaden slightly nodded at him and walked over, he held the man's wrist to check his pulse.

After a few seconds, Jaden nodded in satisfaction. "You're okay now, Mr James."

The old man curiously looked at the boy in hospital gown who looked a lot sicker than him,"Young man, I heard you performed the surgery." He said to Jaden nodding his head over to the group of doctors behind Jaden who looked like eager students ready to learn.

The man smiled,"Good boy." He felt that this child was better than his grandsons, if only they could learn from him.

Jaden picked up the old man's file and was surprised upon seeing what was inside. The old man who has just finished surgery the day before yesterday, was almost healed.

The file showed that he was almost as good as new. Jaden was astonished by the speed of healing.

Was this part of the characteristics of being a supernatural?

With the old man almost healed, his family members could come and visit him. The doctors were quite restless, they felt like their hospital had struck gold. With the cure of the new disease at their hands, their hospital will surely become famous.

They reluctantly went out to give the family some space, however the old man wouldn't let Jaden go.

After the family members came in, the expressed their grievances to their father/grandfather. But the man just stubbornly turned his head acting like a child, he snorted "Hpmn, so now you all can remember me?, Now that I'm sick you all came rushing back home."

"Grandfather we are sorry, we were so busy."

"Father, I've been busy at the company."

"Grandpa, I have exams in a few weeks and I'm preparing for them."

They gave excuses but the hold man wasn't buying it. He smiled warmly at Jaden, "Little boy, I heard you passed out after the operation?."

"Hmmm" Jaden nodded.

"What do you want, young man? Tell me don't be shy, I'll grant your wish as a thank you gift."

"Don't worry old man." Jaden shook his head but the old man insisted, because there was no free lunch in this world.

Jaden originally wanted to refuse but the glaring gaze from an angle made him rethink. His eyes shot up and he internally smiled before nodding.

The old man thought he wouldn't want anything, he was about to say some sugar-coated words when Jaden said,"Okay old man, then I won't be polite"

The family members looked at Jaden encouragingly, after a few seconds he nodded. "A house... Old man wouldn't mind right?".

He actually didn't know what to ask the old man but when he thought about the safety of himself and the children, they had to leave immediately so they needed a place to stay.

The old man was quite stunned, if it were other people they would probably ask for fame, wealth or power. But, Jaden didn't?

Mr James smiled then turned his gaze to his second son, "Give Mr Jaden the house at the mountain of white sparrow estate."

His son was quite surprised but immediately nodded,"okay father."

"No, father!, I wouldn't agree to this." The second aunt was so displeased and turned to glare at Jaden. She had been eyeing that house for a long time and even hinted it to her father. That house was owned by her father and only the rich and powerful lived in that estate. The mountain part of the estate was the most expensive house of them all, she couldn't believe that her father would just give it to a little boy who hadn't grown all his hairs yet.

"What's wrong?" The old man looked at her with a displeased gaze. She trembled and pursed her lips, shaking her head. She was so angry! She secretly looked at Jaden with pent-up frustration.

The teenager who had been quiet all along suddenly spoke up, "I got the herbs you wanted."

Jaden looked up at him,"hmmn, we'll talk about it later.". Although the doctors thought he cured the disease through the surgery, he didn't cure it all, the rest is up to the hands of these herbs.

The Beta teenager looked at Jaden with admiration and curiosity, the old man saw this and a hint of shrewdness appeared in his eyes, "Sid, from now on you must take care of Jaden and treat him like your little brother."

Jaden raised his brow and looked over at Sid who nodded, "Yes grandfather."

With that settled Jaden had to leave but he still had something to say. "Can I talk to Mr James alone?" He asked the family members.

"Okay, you children give this young man some space." The man made a dismissive wave at his family. They all walked out, with the Aunt falling behind feeling reluctant to leave. She has a bad feeling about it.

After they left, Jaden cleared his throat and turned to old man. "Old man seemed to have noticed who did this to him." He calmly said.

The old man solemnly nodded, how could he not feel his daughter's evil  intentions, he was so disappointed."It looks like i didn't train them well."

Jaden lightly smiled as he wrote some prescriptions on a paper, "Old man shouldn't blame himself, she chose to grow up like that. You've already tried your best."

The old man looked at Jaden who had more wisdom than his age, "You are very impressive young man. I'm very sure your parents must be proud of you!" The man smiled.

Jaden's eyes flickered and he nods, passing the paper onto the man, "Mr james, these are this prescription of the medicine you should take. You should follow it every day and within half a month you should be cured. I've written the dosage and how it should be made."

"Thank you, young man!"

"Old man should burn the paper once he's done." The man nodded in understanding.

"Thank you young man my family will forever be grateful." The man knew that he was at the brink of death before this young boy saved his life. If he were a second late his  family would have been destroyed by those greedy people hidden in the dark, secretly targeting his family.so he appreciated it with a grateful heart.

Jaden nods and walks out. The family members rushed in after seeing him come out.

" Mr Jaden." He turned and looked over at the second uncle.

"These are the keys of the house, the house documents and the card. It ready to live in." The man handed the small briefcase to Jaden.

He took it nodding, "Mr James, I want to ask you for a favor..."
