Chapter 10

The smell of medicine and disinfectant filled the air. In Adiar's past life he always slept lightly and sometimes subconsciously control the frequency of his breathing to stay alert, it was a highly vigilant response, as he could quickly wake up and strike a lethal blow to his enemies.

He could feel the soft and warm breath beside him, it was coming closer to him. In an instant, his eyes shot open like an arrow and his bony fingers grabbed onto a delicate wrist.

"Oww..." He heard a whimper and turned to the direction of the sound.

His eyes were cold which sent shivers into the spine of the teenager whose hand had just been grabbed.

He was back at his ward,"what happened?" He coldly asked staring at the boy whose eyes were now watery,Jaden let go of the wrist and looked away.

Ian rubbed his red wrist in pain, glaring at the white-haired teen on the bed "y-you fainted after you finished the- the surgery, thankfully a nurse found you on t-time...".

"How long was I out for?"

"It's about...two days now. The doctor said you fainted from exhaustion." Jaden slightly nodded.

The smell of food travelled through his nostrils and he looked around the ward in suspicious. " What's that?"

"O-oh, you had a visitor and he wanted to come in but I didn't let him come close. He brought food and gifts and I had no choice but bring them in, I'm sure he's still waiting outside." Ian nervously explained.

Jaden paused,"what did he look like?" He asked.

"He looked like a seven or eight year old child."

Jaden's memories flashed in his eyes. "Is he still outside?"

"Yes..."

"Let him come in." Jaden removed the blanket on his body away and pain struck the back of his hand, there was an IV drip connected to it. He looked up to the IV bag and sighed.

It was almost done.

Ian reluctantly went out and later came back in with an eight year old boy. "Big brother!" There was an excited shout that made Jaden worriedly look at the babies in the crib.

The boy ran towards his bed with excitement written in his eyes, there was a light curl on the side of Jaden's lips which made Ian stunned.

Adair recognized this little boy, he was one of Jaden's biological brother. The Emerald family has many children and coincidentally Jaden was one of them.

After Jaden's mates recognized him, he was introduced to his family again. His brothers and sisters who attended the same school as him showed disdain and his parents well... they were neutral, but this little boy liked Jaden so much and would secretly frequently visit the Alpha's house,where Jaden lived in with his mates.

"Do your parents know you came here?" Jaden asked as he ruffled the hair of the eight year old boy, Jaden never called his parents "his parents" because he never dared to, and Adair wanted it to stay that way.

The boy showed a toothy grin,"No!, they don't even know where you are. I was so worried, so I had to track you."

Jaden raised his brow in interest, it turned out Theodore was a little computer genius.

Theo ran to a corner and brought out a lunch box, Ian quickly pushed the over-bed table in front of Jaden. They then set up the food for him to eat, he stared at them in amusement as they worked together.

Theodore caught him staring and giggled, he whispered"We are now friends!" then turned to Ian, "Right uncle Ian?" He had a very proud expression.

Ian cleared his throat in embarrassment and nodded,"y-yes, we are friends!"
