lils: oh good he's finally packing up
lils: no
lils: fuck he's coming over
rem: i'm getting my popcorn out
lils: do you think i have time
to run and hide
rem: just talk to him, lils

lils: can u call me in 2 minutes

rem: i'm not doing that

Lily smiled at James when he came up beside her; it was only polite.
"Evans, good to see you!" James always sounded excited. Lily wondered if he truly never did get angry.
"Right, you too, James." Lily nodded with her lips pressed together. She turned her eyes back to her notebook, where she had been working out an equation.
"I'm off to take a break, I figured I'd ask if you wanted to join?" He sounded so hopeful. Lily wasn't particularly interested in him, as she kept reminding herself, but she also wasn't an asshole.
She frowned down at her paper. "Ah, I don't know James. I'm sort of in the zone."
"How about in ten minutes?" She looked up at him and he was raising a brow, leaning on the back of the chair next to her. "You do owe me a coffee."
"Are you blackmailing me?"
"If that's what it takes." James shrugged, and Lily couldn't help but laugh.
"Fine, ten minutes, Potter. But I'm only taking a short break. I've got a shit ton of work."
"Potter?" James held a hand to his chest. "I've been demoted to a last-name basis?"
