EPILOGUE

"Nette" Jack said nudging his wife who gave a tiny groan in response very deep in her slumber. "Wake upp!" He said extending the word as he nudged again making her give him the evil eye before pulling the covers back over her. "Ettinne-Just let me sleep Jackman." She groaned as he pulled her up so she could sit up. "Joey would kill me" He said as she rolled her eyes. "I'm sure it'll be a nice funeral,love" She said trying to get back to her sleeping positon before Jack's arms wrapped around her. "Nope! It's already like 3 pm, and you're about to miss your fitting" He said as her eyes widened. "Pardon?!" She said with newfound energy as Joey walked into the room. "Yup! We gotta get you downtown in thirty minutes and right after we got to get you into Makeup" Joey muttered typing away on her phone as Ettinnette slowly got out of bed.

"What am I even getting ready for?" She questioned rubbing at her eyes as Jack and Joey both looked at her. "The Oscars?" They said at the same time as Ettinnette got back in bed. "Can we just skip that. I go and I never win so what's the point of going this year?" She asked as Joey pulled her legs making her yelp. "Well, this year is different! You directed something" Joey shrugged pushing Ettinnette into the bathroom before leaving the room. "Well Can I drive?" Ettinnette asked as Jack gave her a look. "We not finna talk about this right now" He said shaking his head as she groaned. "Whyy!" She whined as Jack turned to face her. "It's safer for security drive. Simple" He replied as she sucked her teeth. "I don't even need security bro" She muttered grabbing her toothbrush to start getting ready. "Can you just let me!" She said turning to him as he shook his head making her give him a look as she turned to ignore him.

"Acting like my daddy, for what?"

"Is it just me or am I getting chubbier?" Ettinnette asked looking in the mirror during her fitting as Jack shot her a look. "It's just you" He said passing her water as she sighed. "No, like seriously. My stomach's been getting a pudge lately and I'm not fucking with it, at all" She muttered almost on the verge of tears as Jack moved closer, wrapping his arms around her from behind and resting his chin on her shoulder. "Nette, you're beautiful. And if there's a pudge, it just makes you more lovable," he said softly as she looked up at him. "You're just saying that cause i', your wife" She groaned as she blinked back her tears.

Jack turned her around to face him, holding her gently by the shoulders. "No, I'm saying it because it's true. You look gorgeous" He said kissing her neck as Joey walked in grimacing. "Can y'all ever keep the PDA to a minimum" she said taking a sip of her coffee. "You just mad you haven't caught dick yet" Ettinnette shouted out as Jack gave her a confused look. "But Joey, aren't you and Urban together?" He asked making Joey drop her coffee as Ettinnette's eyes widened. "YOU'RE WITH URBAN?" Ettinnette screeched in joy for her friend as Joey shot Jack a look.

"Sorry!"

"Bro, when did your boobs get bigger?" Tiana asked in confusion as Ettinnette stared down at them. "I didn't really notice. They got bigger?" She asked as Kaviana nodded while people swarmed around Ettinnette doing her makeup. "Yes girl! They went up like a whole fucking cup." She says poking her friend's boobs as Ettinnette looks down again.

"Really?"

"Can we please go home?" Ettinnette asked as Joey rolled her eyes. "Your category is literally about to be announced. You can wait a few minutes" Joey said as Ettinnette pulled up on her dress to cover her boobs. "And Best Director Goes too..." The announcer said as Joey squeezed Ettinnette's hand as Ettinnette secretly wished that she did win. "Ettinnette Mohamed,Bourdon" said the announcer making Joey squeal as Ettinnette's mouth dropped. She felt an arm tugging on her as she's pulled up on the stage by her manager. Joey gently pushes her into where the microphone stand was. "Sorry to interrupt but before you say anything, I just want you to know that today you've made history as the youngest EGOT winner in history at 27. How do you feel about that?" One of the announcers asked as Ettinnette's heart caught in her throat. "This is like...crazy. I never thought I'd be here, on this stage and now that I've made it...It's surreal.Anyway before I start crying on y'all, I wanna thank my mama, and my late Baba" She said as her voice broke making her pause to collect herself as the audience cheered her on. "Sorry, I'm also thanking my brothers for always believing in me and telling me what I needed to hear. Thank you to my husband for always supporting me even when I know I got on his nerves. Thank you to my manager and my best friends for helping get here. Thank you to the amazing cast who believed in my messed up vision and my crew who helped me put it together. This story was insanely personal to me but it helped me realize how to love myself and appreciate myself more and I hope it did the same for anyone who watched it, So thank you for giving me a chance to convey it." she said as the audience clapped again.

She glanced down at the golden statue in her hands, its weight both literal and symbolic. "Lastly, To anyone out there who's struggling to find their place, who's questioning their worth or their dreams—please, keep going. If I can stand here today, you can too. Believe in yourself, trust your journey, and never give up." She says as her time runs out making her rush out a 'Thank you again' before she walks off of the stage. "I told you, you would get it!" Joey said hugging her tightly swinging her around as she wiped her own eyes. Girl, Ion even know what the fuck just happened, I'm that shook" She muttered into her friend's chest as the two laughed. She passed the large trophy to her manager as Joey furrowed her brows.

"This shit's heavy as fuck!"

Ettinnette sat at on her toilet staring at the bright two blue lines as her heart raced. "Jack?" She called out making Jack walk into their shared bathroom. "Yeah?" He asked rubbing at his eyes as she turned the test over to him. "I think I'm pregnant." She said as his eyes widened immediately waking him out of his tiredness.

"Now, you for sure can't get rid of your security"
