Chapter 5

Madeleine's POV:

Millie, Lexy, Jenna, and I are currently at Noah's house getting ready for our annual Horror movie marathon. Noah and Jenna came and picked us up at 8:00. We're decorating Caleb's movie room horror themed. We decided we'd decorate it "Friday the Thirteenth" mixed with "Scream". It looks insanely awesome. My sister and I change into our pjs in time for Finn and Gaten to arrive with the snacks and drinks. Once they arrive we all cheer.

"Hey guys be honest what do you think?" I ask showing them the neatly decorated movie room excitedly

"This is really epic!" Gaten says smiling hugging me

"Wow Lexy your Freddy Krueger pjs are epic!" Jenna says causing Lexy to smile

"Mads yours and Noah's chucky couple pjs are so adorable!!" Millie says

"Thanks Noah picked them out. He gave them to me as soon I came over. I just went into the bathroom and put them on." I say kissing Noah's cheek making him blush

"Mills your ghost face pjs are so cool. Where'd you get them?" Finn asks

"I got them with Gaten when we went to target." Millie says smiling sitting on a bean bag eating popcorn

"Jenna where did you and Finn get those Sidney and Billy pjs?" Gaten asks curiously

"We got them from party city actually." Finn say smiling as Jenna laughs

"What about you Gaten where'd you get your jigsaw pjs from?" Jenna says laughing

"Target they were last minute finds." Gaten says shrugging

"I told him to get them sooner but you know Gaten. He is always last minute oriented." Millie says rolling her eyes as Gaten sticks his tongue out in response

"Yeah well you should have seen Lexy shopping for her pjs I thought she'd never find any." I say shaking my head causing Lexy to roll her eyes

"Not my fault I didn't like half of the horror movie themed pjs. I mean they were tacky. " Lexy explains to everyone making me laugh

"I agree with you Lex ignore your sister she doesn't get how hard it is to pick out epic pjs." Noah says reassuring me making me roll my eyes at him

"Wait where does Megan and Colson think you girls are?" Gaten asks curiously

"We may have lied and said we're sleeping at Millies's." Lexy says shrugging

"Seriously you girls have more balls than me. I think one look at serious Sophia and I'd be telling her my whole life story." Finn says laughing

"Finn a chipmunk has more balls than you." Jenna says making Gaten laugh and his her head in agreement

"Sorry Finn I'm on Jenna's side on this one." Noah says high-fiving Jenna

"Okay guys keep picking on Finn and his small ego will be dead." I say laughing

"Wow you too Mads." Finn says shaking his head disapprovingly

"Don't worry Finn I'll help you get them back tonight." Lexy says whispering to him making Finn smile

I get up and go to use the bathroom. Once I finish I sit back down as we start the "Friday the Thirteenth" I can't help but smile. I grab a snack and cuddle into Noah. I let out a sign of content. This is the family time I need tonight.

Lexy's POV:

As I'm watching the movie I look over to Jenna. She looks so peaceful. I can't help but smile as she cuddles into me sharing the blanket. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I smile as she turns hiding into me as it gets to a scary part. I reach for some popcorn sharing it with her as she smiles.

"I'm really glad your mom let you come tonight." I smile

"You know she's happy anytime we hang out." Jenna says smiling

"Really?" I ask curiously

"Yeah she was really happy we are hanging out. She loves you. You know she sees you as another daughter you practically grew up at my house." Jenna says rolling her eyes

"I'm glad your mom always lets you hang out with me. Lord knows this group gets in trouble a lot." I say smiling

"Yeah no kidding." Jenna says smiling

"What are you gonna do about Megan and Colson?" She asks me once we're halfway through the movie

"What do you mean?" I ask confused

"Like how long are you guys gonna be mad at them before you give them a chance?" Jenna finishes saying

"I don't know. What they did isn't easily forgivable. But at the same time it'd be nice to have a mom and dad for once." I say truthfully as she nods

"I know I just hope they give you guys all the time you need. You and your sister are better people than I." Jenna says honestly

"Yeah but enough about my egg and sperm donors tonight isn't about them. Tonight is about having fun." I say smiling

Jenna nods as she returns her attention to the tv. I can't help questioning how long do I get to bed mad at Megan and Colson? I am distracted that I don't even notice the end credits of the movie start to play. I can't help but feel confused. What is gonna happen in a year from now with Megan and Colson? Are they gonna keep us that long? I am interrupted from my thoughts when I see Madeleine put the next movie in. This is gonna be a long night.
