The day is Saturday. May 6 1967. It's the evening.
Marvin and Talulla say their private goodbyes to each other before they initiate the ceremony.
Marvin looks at Talulla sentimentally.
Marvin
Line 1) Talulla, you've been good to me from the start.
Marvin
Line 2) You're very welcoming and have an exciting presence.
Marvin
Line 3) I never felt excluded, and I know that's because of you.
Marvin
Line 4) You've always went out your way to include me constantly.
Marvin
Line 5) All of what you have done means so much to me.
Marvin
Line 6) If it weren't for you, I would have never gotten the chance to be with Calista.
Marvin
Line 7) Just know that you've played a huge role in my life.
Marvin
Line 8) And I couldn't be more grateful for you.
Marvin
Line 9) From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Talulla and Marvin give each other a warm hug.
They pull back to get a good look at each other's faces for the last time.
Talulla speaks compassionately.
