The Formula 1 grid didn't want another team but one appeared anyway. With a reputation to rival Ferrari, Lamborghini was ready to take their place on the grid. Wanting to showcase a level of stability, even if the first year didn't bring results, th...

DANIEL RICCIARDO TO BECOME A DAD AS GIRLFRIEND MARISSA ROMONO ANNOUNCES PREGNANCY.
Marissa Romono announces that she is expecting with Formula 1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo. The two have a long standing relationship and have expressed desires for a family in the past. There's no note on when they found out the news but fans were told just yesterday on Ricciardo's and Romono's Instagram stories.
The story read: 'We're happy to announce that we're expecting a little Ricciardo soon'. It was followed by an ultrasound scan.
Ricciardo stated earlier this year: "this will be my last contract as I wish to start a family and I want to be around to watch kids grow up, not from the sidelines, you know?"

Safe to say, Daniel Ricciardo and Marissa Romono had been in the best mood possible as they stepped foot into the Formula 1 paddock.
They walked in hand in hand, hosting beaming smiles as they passed through Paddock.
"Congrats," Mick beamed as he hugged Marissa. "Sorry I couldn't come to your dinner."
"I had a feeling you wouldn't be able to fly out that fast," Marissa chuckled. "That's okay, most of it was spent with Robyn telling Lily she was adorable, which she is of course but she's barely four."
"Robyn is a really good babysitter," Mick teased. "Though she will make you put Mercedes merch on your baby."
"When I retire, she can buy the baby any team merch but until then, it's Lamborghini only," Daniel warned jokingly. "Not that Robyn will listen."
"She's sweet," Marissa hummed. "Okay, I hate to do this but you two have duties."
Marissa kissed Daniel's cheek before moving towards the other McLaren employees. She was a sociable person and liked to make sure she kept up to date with what everyone was doing.
Lucia took the spot that Marissa was once stood in, a smile on her face. The three of them headed to complete the team pre-weekend meeting, to discuss what strategies they could do and set boundaries to each driver. Usually, they put the focus on whoever did better in qualifying and then it was up to the drivers to show they should have the focus. Though, they wanted to give each driver an equal shot as the other as that's something Lucia strongly believed in.
Lucia was particularly cheerful that weekend too, though she'd known about her future grandchild longer than Daniel, but this was the first time that she wasn't hiding in the secret. The driver's and Team Principal press conferences had asked for both her and Daniel so they'd likely be talking about it — they mainly kept to racing but Thomas, the presenter, did like to ask about things that had been in the media. He kept things take so Lucia didn't mind and Marissa didn't have to worry about whatever Daniel said.

"Aha! I win!" Marissa exclaimed as she put the late circle into connect four.
There were a lot of ways to spend the night before a race, from ice baths to getting as much sleep as possible.
If Marissa was a driver, she knew she'd spend her time in the bath for hours before sleeping for at least ten hours. She knew her mother did something similar to make sure she had the right mindset to take her team into the points as many weekends as they possibly could.
Daniel didn't care about that. He wasn't sure what he'd do when Marissa was no longer going to races with him — though he knew she'd do her best to, even with their expected baby — and he wasn't sure how to spend the nights. He enjoyed talking about random things to her, cuddling her in bed or watching all the dogs videos Marissa placed in front of him.
For now, he was enjoying her company.
"You win everytime," Daniel complained.
"That's because you have too much fun trying to annoy me and not think about your own game!" Marissa grinned. "You spend too much time looking at me too!"
"Hey, I enjoy it!" Daniel defended. "It doesn't matter that I don't win."
"I hope you don't purposely let me win because you love me," Marissa narrowed her eyes.
"No, I know you'd much prefer me to actually try to win," Daniel teased as he stood up from his spot. "What time is it?"
"Ten. We should probably go to bed," Marissa admitted, placing connect four into the box.
Daniel had qualified ninth, just behind Robyn who'd had trouble with downforce. Robyn was a good defender and hard to overtake but the pace of her car gave Daniel a fighting chance. The updates they'd got for the weekend didn't seem as strong as hoped but Daniel would do the best with them.
And safe to say, come Sunday afternoon...Daniel Ricciardo did just that.
Daniel was always better in a race when he got that extra boost of happiness and confidence, aided by driving in a place he loved. He overtook Robyn by a very well planned undercut, just as the strategist had hoped would happen, and he'd managed to keep up the pace. They weren't quite fast enough to be fighting for a podium but he managed to secure P7 and bring some points home with Mick in P11, just missing out — though it wasn't his fault, he'd had wing damage.
Even so, the weekend had been possible in more ways than one.
