The Formula 1 grid didn't want another team but one appeared anyway. With a reputation to rival Ferrari, Lamborghini was ready to take their place on the grid. Wanting to showcase a level of stability, even if the first year didn't bring results, th...

"It's race day!"
Lucia Romono was overly cheerful as she placed her arms around both driver's shoulders, grinning like a madwoman. She only did this on race day until they got into their cars because she believed that having drivers in good moods gave her better results. Once they were in their cars, serious Lucia came back.
"Mama, really?" Marissa hummed as she appeared in the garage.
Marissa was always reasonably cheerful anyway but it didn't surprise Lucia how stern she was while working. She walked around her clipboard of things to do, phone in her other hand and holding Daniel's gloves on top.
Considering it was a new car in a team that had never been on the grid before, Lucia thought they had done better to qualify for P10 for Daniel and P14 for Mick. Lucia had to admit she'd love to start the season with a few points.
Their car was quick, Lucia knew that just from testing, but it was a car the drivers were getting to grips with and having the engineers understand what set-up it needed. This race would help them for the rest of the season and it was the main data that Lucia was after.
"I have complete and utter faith in the two of you," Lucia assured her drivers. "Please keep your cars out of the barriers, even if that means you need to back out of an overtake. It's just the first race."
"Cars belong on track," Daniel saluted playfully.
"You are such a toddler," Marissa sighed, rolling her eyes.
"As long as you drive fast, I don't care," Lucia chuckled, patting Daniel and Mick on their backs,"Time for me to get to the grid. Caio!"
Lucia began to stride towards the grid, weaving around the crowds of people who were curiously trying to get a look at the cars or to find a driver (which they likely wouldn't until after the national anthem).
Without the use of headphones and mics, Lucia knew that she wouldn't have been able to hear her staff members.
"Caio, Luca," Lucia greeted her Chef Mechanic. "How is it looking?"
"Good, the car seems to be how we expect and we are pleased with it," Luca replied cheerfully.
Lucia trusted Luca more than most on her team, which was saying something because she trusted everyone greatly, but Luca had worked in Formula 1 for over twenty years, staying at Red Bull for the longest and Mercedes for a while too. He knew what he was doing.
"Lucia, can I get a word?"
It was Martin Brundle. Lucia had been on the Formula 1 grid before and had spoken to the man briefly. She didn't mind him and he was polite enough to wait for the Team Principals to finish their conversations before asking to speak to them. He'd been making his grid walks rather famous. He'd also done interviews with her.
