«Hope!» Lizzie yelled, still banging on the door.
«Come on, wake up! We'll be late for school!»

I rubbed my eyes as I went to open the door.

«We?» I asked, yawning.

Lizzie walked into my room and sat on the bed.
«Our dad got us transferred to your school. We'll be staying here until we deal with your very annoying grandmother.»

«Your father allow you to stay here?» I raised an eyebrow.

«Let's just say he didn't have much of a choice.» she said with a sly grin.

«What did your mom have to say about all this?»

«She tried to convince us to drag your ass back to Mystic Falls. She thinks you'd be safer there.»

«It would be pointless. Esther would come after me.»

«That's exactly what I told her.»

I cleared my throat.
«And...What about Landon?»

«Unfortunately, your ex will be staying as well.» She huffed.
«Have I mentioned that you have terrible taste in guys?»

I rolled my eyes and nodded.

«As much as Landon irritates me, he was right about something yesterday.» Lizzie grimaced.
«You can't keep up the lie about your identity. Sooner or later, they'll figure it out.»

«Once I tell them, they'll probably want nothing to do with me.»

«Could you at least tell Stiles?»

«Stiles?» I feigned surprise.

«Don't play dumb with me, Hope. It's obvious there's something going on between you two.»

I headed to the closet and picked out my clothes for the day.
«What makes you think that?»

«You should've seen his face when he saw Landon getting close to you yesterday.»

I grabbed a jacket.
«That doesn't prove anything.»

«Oh, please. It's not just him.»

«Yesterday, when you freaked out, Stiles called your name, and as soon as you looked at him, you immediately relaxed. It was like a switch flipped.»

I blinked slowly, slightly surprised, and my eyes widened just a bit as I processed what she said.

Lizzie was right, I needed to tell him the truth before he found out from someone else.

After getting ready and having breakfast, we left the house. Rebekah and Marcel had decided to spend the morning with Aunt Freya at the hospital.

«I'm sitting up front!» Lizzie announced, hopping into the passenger seat next to me.
