Chapter 1-19: The Best Night Ever

A/N: Please ignore how horrible Scarlette Melody's verse is. I'm not very confident in my poetry skills despite taking a creative writing class with a poetry final.

Pinkie exclaims while jumping on a trampoline, "Ah! I... can't... believe... the Grand... Galloping... Gala... is... tonight!"

Twilight says, tearing her eyes from her spell book to glare at Pinkie, exclaiming, "Pinkie, please stop shouting! I'm trying to concentrate!"

Rarity adds, "Pinkie Pie! Stop that right now! It's time to prepare for the Gala, and I refuse to let you put on your new dress when you're all sweaty."

Pinkie defies physics to stop herself before she could bounce again, hopping off the trampoline and onto the ground.

I ask, "Hey Twi, what'cha doin'? Some last minute reading before we leave?"

Spike responds, "She's got an awesome magic spell she's been working on for the Gala."

I say, "Well, she'd better get it done soon before the others get here."

Rarity asks impatiently, "Where are the others? It's getting late."

Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy finally arrive, the apple farmer saying, "Hold your horses, girl. We're here."

Twilight says, "Perfect. I'm ready!"

Rainbow asks, "For what?"

Twilight doesn't answer her, instead saying, "Alright, Spike."

The purple and green dragon set a single red apple on the ground, and Pinkie exclaims, "An apple! Are we having pie?"

Spike shushes her, saying, "Watch!"

Twilight casts a spell on the apple, turning it into a carriage. Now we're really getting into familiar territory.

Twilight says as our friends make exclamations of awe and wonder, "Thanks, but that's just the start. Fluttershy, did you bring your friends?"

Fluttershy responds, "Yes." She sets down four mice, asking, "Will they be safe, Twilight?"

The purple unicorn responds, "You have my world." She casts a spell on the mice, turning them into tall horses, but still retaining their mouse noses.

We all make sounds of confusion and a bit of apprehension, Rarity muttering, "That's a choice. Interesting."

Twilight says, "Neat, huh? And don't worry, they'll be mice again at-"

I finish her sentence, asking with a bit of amusement, "Midnight?"

Twilight raises her eyebrow, asking, "How'd you know?"

I chuckle a bit as I respond, "Lucky guess."

Rarity's cat runs toward the horse-mice, and Fluttershy exclaims, "Opalescence, no!"

Opal attacks the horse-mice, making them run away in fear.

Twilight exclaims, "Wait! Come back! Those horses were supposed to pull our carriage. How will we get to the Gala?"

I ask, "You mean other than by train? This whole plan seems a bit convoluted to me."

Rarity swoons, dramatically asking, "Whatever shall we do?" She smiles and walks over to some stallions that live nearby, asking, "Uh, ahem. Excuse me. Uh, would you boys mind pulling our carriage to the Gala?"

Twilight sheepishly says as the stallions agree, "Oh. Yeah. Right."

Us ponies go into a changing room, still getting dressed when Spike knocks on the door, exclaiming, "Come on, you guys! Let me in!"
