"Having liberated the Hourglass and become Keeper of Time, my next task was to restart history." Liu Kang narrated.
"You mean ours?" Jaune commented.
Liu Kang just gave out a heavy sigh.
"Not beholden to past events, I was free to craft a new era. It was with humility and restraint that I approached this blank canvas." Liu Kang explained.
"Cap!" Jaune said again.
Liu Kang felt the urge to respond to Jaune's comment but restrained himself from saying anything cruel. He took a deep breath and exhaled before going back to his story.
"After careful preparation," Liu Kang began, "I began work. Painting over the darkness. After eons passed, I sketched out the realms. After eons more, I brushed them in with life."
"You mean you took eons just to wave your arms around with the Hourglass and you still couldn't come up with a masterpiece of a universe?" Jaune remarked.
"Shut up Jaune!" Liu Kang yelled all of a sudden. Right before sighing. "Forgive me. I had lost my temper."
"Yeah whatever." Jaune replied, completely unphased by the monk's sudden anger.
Liu Kang went back on to explain his new era.
"In my new era, all beings will have opportunity to find peace."
"Cap!"
"Whether or not they do, will be their responsibility..."
"Cap!"
"...For my power only permits me to begin this endeavor. It is the duty of mortals to finish it."
"CAP!"
"ALRIGHT THAT'S IT GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE-"
