Reiner's words cause me to hesitate, my hand still lingering around the his jaw, "Reiner.."

"Go. Please." He straightens his back before me. I nod my head.

"Please, be safe." He doesn't answer as I climb down his titan arm and make my way quickly back to Falco and my father.  When the lightning of his titan shift cuts through the town around me, I turn back to see him. His titan is in a state I've never seen it in before; his hair dishevelled along his forehead. Little pieces of armour that would usually be stuck to his body are poking out. This isn't right.

The attack titan turns around at the transformation; his illuminating green eyes send shivers through my spine as they penetrate in Reiner's direction. His grip on Porco's hair never loosens as he sags next to him, as if he was nothing but a rag doll. It's a heinous sight.

As the two titans collide, Reiner throws the first punch. But it misses, giving the Attack Titan room to lay his fist into Reiner's jaw. The left over armour that covered his mouth shattering around him, causing him to fly along the ground of the square, a gasp leaving my mouth as he does so. The impact sends a gush of wind toward me, I use my forearm to shield my eyes from it.

He's on the ground now, the smoke clearing showing Porco is in tact with his left armoured hand. Without thinking, I make my way back over to them, "Reiner! Porco!" I say as I get close to them. It's terrifying, seeing them so beaten up. Their skins are too hot to touch as smoke gushes out of them both. My gaze returns to the Attack Titan staring down at the sight, the same hallowing look on his face. As if he can sense me, he makes eye contact with me, causing my heart to fall deep into my belly as I realise this might be my last moment.

But he doesn't attack. Smoke emerges from his titan and the holder emerges from the nape. I squint to see who, and my mouth falls slightly open.

It's the man from the hospital Falco was talking to. Is that what Falco meant when he said Reiner saved his life?

But as quickly as I see him, he's gone, being pulled away by a solider in a black uniform; Her wired gear pulling them both into the moonlit sky.

Using the small knife I have stationed in the belt of my uniform, with careful but shaky hands, I cut around the nape of Reiner's neck cautious to avoid the danger spots that would hurt him, letting him emerge out and into my arms.

"Reiner, hey." I whisper softly. His eyes are shut, much like how they were when I first came to him moments before. My hands rests on the back of his skull, preventing it from hitting the ground. My thumb runs over his hairline, a small tear running down the right side of my face that I quickly swipe away.

"Captain Lunar!" A soldiers voice echos to me. There's two of them poised with guns at the ready.

"Can you help me get them out of here." I say, my voice croaky.

We work together to get Porco out of his titan and both of them to their feet, carrying their weight on our shoulders to the building where I left my father and Falco. There's a group of men there now, a few doctors tending to the soldiers injuries. The streets feel calmer now, the Paradis soldiers making their way up to one of our airships. They must have hijacked one, but how?

A gun shot rings in my ears, sending off a panic set in my mind. Making sure Reiner is being looked after, I stroke his cheek one more time before I go after it. Heavy breathes and quick footsteps can be heard as I see Falco come to a halt in front of Gabi. A man in a blacked out uniform is on the ground, his wire that connects him to the airship above still attached to his body. Falco pulls her to face him, and they exchange words I can't hear to each other. She shakes her head and begins to fiddle with the device that controls the wire. The wire jolts as she clicks the trigger. She looks back to Falco, her eyes are solemn and fear creeps into them as she holds onto the device. She's going to try and go up there.
