"You won’t do that," she whispered, her voice barely audible through her tears.

"Sign, Annie. Otherwise, you know I’m on the edge of losing it, and I’m capable of anything," Jungkook said, his tone eerily calm, yet filled with a hidden threat.

She shook her head, her tears spilling down her cheeks uncontrollably.

"Are you really choosing yourself over everyone? Over Somi, Nia, Changmin, and even our kids? You’re being selfish, Annie. Fine—" He reached for his phone, clearly about to make a call.

"No, Jungkook, please don’t do this. Please," she begged, her voice cracking as she sobbed.

"Then sign the papers," he said with an unyielding firmness.

Annie stared at the marriage papers in front of her, her heart aching. The image of her children’s laughing faces flashed through her mind—her reason for living, her everything. With trembling hands and a heavy heart, she picked up the pen, her tears falling onto the papers as she signed them.

Jungkook took the pen from her hands and signed his name without hesitation.

“Say it,” Jungkook demanded, his voice icy and menacing. “Say I’m your legal husband.”

"You are my legal husband".

Annie’s heart pounded as she uttered the words, her throat tight with dread. She could barely meet his gaze. As she finished speaking, Jungkook’s hand gripped the back of her neck, holding her firmly. She braced herself, her eyes squeezing shut, expecting a harsh kiss or some further cruelty.

But instead of a kiss, Jungkook lowered his forehead to rest against hers. His eyes closed tightly, and tears began to stream down his face. “I’m sorry, babe,” he whispered, his voice cracking with raw pain. “I’m so sorry.”

The tears flowed freely from his eyes, and he began to kiss her face, gently pressing his lips against her forehead, cheeks, and the corners of her eyes. Each kiss was tender and desperate, as though he was trying to make up for all the hurt and pain with every touch.

He held her by the nape of her neck with one strong hand, pulling her close, his face buried in the crook of her neck. His sobs were soft but heart-wrenching, like a child’s cry for comfort. “Sorry… I’m so sorry,” he murmured over and over, his voice breaking with every repetition. The intensity of his emotions made him tremble as he clung to her, his grip tightening.

He held her as if she were the most precious thing in his world, his entire body shaking with the weight of his feelings. He kissed her forehead and then her cheeks, his lips lingering as though each kiss was an apology, a plea for forgiveness. His face was flushed red, his tears mixing with hers as he struggled to control his emotions.

In that embrace, the pain of nearly losing her, the agony of pretending to be unaffected, and the overwhelming relief of having her back washed over him. His sobs grew louder and more desperate, each one a testament to how deeply he felt her presence and how much he had missed her. He held her tightly, as if fearing that if he let go, she might slip away again. His tears continued to fall, soaking into her neck, and he clung to her as if this were the last moment they might ever share.

Annie cried, not fully understanding why. Her tears were a mix of confusion and sadness.

Jungkook, still holding her tightly, whispered softly, “I promise this will be the last time I ever force you to do something.” He pressed his forehead against hers, their faces close.

His voice was filled with regret and pain. As he spoke, he kept his hand gently on her neck. His breaths were uneven, and he continued to cry, his tears blending with hers. He was holding her as if he never wanted to let go, his tears falling on her face as he tried to make things right between them.
