I smiled, reachimg for his hand to intertwine my fingers with his. "Okay, I won't bear"

We sat like that for a while, holding hands and watching the movie, but my attention was no longer on the screen. All I could think about was his finger over his lip, being restless. My heart skipped a beat when I noticed he bit on his lower lip slightly.

Tae leaned in closer, his shoulder pressing against mine. "You know" he began, his voice almost a whisper, "It's getting harder to be around you when we are alone."

My breath hitched "I've noticed that too."

He smirked, the look in his eyes making my heart skip a beat. "I'm glad I finally have an effect on you."

"Shut up" I whispered, my voice trembling and my cheeks starting to warm up.

We stayed like that, holding hands. I couldn't tell you what we were watching that night. All I knew was the electric tension between us, the feeling of his hand in mine and the unspoken words hanging in the air.

The days in Japan passed smoothly. The boys returned to their rigorous schedule of rehearsals, interviews and concerts, and I slipped seamlessly into my role as their personal assistant.

A week later, we were gathered in the hotel suite after a long day of interviews. The boys were lounging around, chatting and relaxing. I was in the corner of the room, going through some emails, when my phone rang. Seeing it was a call from China, I excused myself and stepped out onto the balcony to take it.

"Hello, this is Wen Y/N" I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Miss Wen" came the urgent voice on the other end. It was Mr. Zhang, one of the senior board members of Empyreal Designs. "You need to come to China immediately. There's a situation with your aunt."

My heart skipped a beat. "What's going on?"

"Your aunt is attempting to claim the chairman position" Mr. Zhang explained. "She's arguing that since you've graduated and haven't officially taken over, you have no intention of doing so. She's trying to convince the board that she should be the chairwoman."

I felt a surge of panic. "But I've made it clear I would take over after my time in Japan. I even have a schedul planed."

"She's saying that your continued absence shows a lack of commitment. You need to come and assert your claim, or we might lose the company to her."

I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath to steady myself. "I understand. I'll arrange to come as soon as possible."

Ending the call, I took a moment to compose myself before heading back inside. The boys looked up as I entered, sensing something was wrong.
