Chapter 21

The drive was short, soon we arrived at his place. They all had their own houses but felt comforotable living together. It was cozy and beautifully decorated, a perfect reflection of Tae's personality. He led me to the living room where a blanket fort was set up, complete with fairy lights and pillows. A projector was set up, I could see that he had planned a movie night.

"Welcome to our secret date spot" he said with a grin, pulling me into a hug. His arms around me felt warm and safe, and I could feel my nerves melting away.

"This is amazing, oppa" I said, looking around in awe.

"I wanted it to be special" he replied, leading me inside the fort. We settled down on the pillows and he handed me a bowl of popcorn. "I got all your favorite snacks too" he added, pointing to a small table filled with chips, chocolates, and drinks.

We started the movie, a romantic comedy that had both of us laughing and enjoying each other's company. Throughout the movie, Tae would sneak glances at me, his eyes filled with affection. Whenever a particularly funny scene came on, he'd pull me closer, his laughter infectious.

At one point, he reached over and took my hand in his, his fingers intertwining with mine. The simple gesture, though normal to us, felt different tonight. This tiny thing sent my heart racing, I couldn't help but smile at how perfect it felt.

I guess Tae got bored because before I knew it, a piece of popcorn was thrown at me. Initially, I was shocked and I slowly turned to him with a glare. "Game on. I don't have to clean after" I said with narrowed eyes.

This led to an impromptu food fight, with popcorn flying everywhere. Laughter filled the air as we playfully dodged and threw popcorn at each other. It was chaotic but incredibly fun. Long story short, I ended up pinned down underneath him, both of us breathless from laughing.

"Get off me, cheater" I said, glaring up at him. I was very competitive a lot like Kook, but this alien used his strength to pin me down, smirking like he had won.

Tae leaned down, his face inches from mine, his smirk turning into a playful grin. "I think I like this position" he teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

I rolled my eyes, trying to hide my smile. "Of course you would. But seriously, bear, get off me."

Instead of moving, he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against my ear. "You look cute when you're all competitive, thinking you could win" he whispered, sending shivers down my spine.

I felt my cheeks heat up and I pushed at his chest playfully. "Flattery won't get you anywhere."

He chuckled, finally rolling off me but not before placing a quick kiss on my cheek. "Alright, alright. Truce?"

I sat up, shaking the popcorn out of my hair and clothes. "Truce" I agreed, still feeling the tingling sensation from his kiss.

We both sat up and began to clean up the mess, still giggling like kids. Every now and then, Tae would sneak a piece of popcorn into his mouth, making me laugh even more.

As we settled back down on the couch, Tae pulled me close, wrapping his arm around me. "You know, I think I can get use to our secret dates" he said softly, his eyes meeting mine.
