Sandra hung her coat on her hanger and took her shoes off. "My home, your home." She said it softly, seeing Emmy gaze around with wide eyes. The girl bent down and unlaced her laces, placing her shoes next to the woman's.
"It's nice." She murmured with a grin that crawled on her soft lips, her eyes falling all over the cozy furniture and inviting decor. Sandra smiled, happy to see Emmy feeling comfortable in her home. "I'm glad you like it," she replied, motioning for the girl to come sit on the couch.
She sat down next to her, and Sandra crossed her legs, leaning herself on the backrest. "You seem quite anxious." She closed her eyes and tilted her head up, not gazing at the girl. "What's the matter?"
Emmy fidgeted with her palms, placing them on her lap and sighing quietly. "Cosima's not home either, is she?" She bit on her nails, and Sandra hummed quietly, approving her. She wrapped her arm around Emmy, and pulled her closer to her, resting her head on her shoulder.
"No." She mumbled under her breath and gave Emmy a small smile. "Vanya isn't heartless. She wouldn't have let her go at this late hour." Sandra buried her hand in her dirty blonde waves, massaging her head.
"One more question."
"Hm?"
Emmy nuzzled her cheek against the woman's arm, keeping her eyes low, clicking her tongue lightly. "Are Vanya and Cosima a thing?" Sandra chuckled softly, her fingers tracing small circles on Emmy's back.
"I don't know for sure." Sandra ran a hand through her brown curls, leaning her chin on Emmy's head. "But Vanya's been different ever since her birthday." She whispered as if she were telling an important secret. "She's calmer these days, doesn't get angry as much, and to my surprise, when she wants something, she speaks. This is new for everyone at the palace—we're used to her being quiet and then saying something mean."
Emmy laughed quietly, snuggling into the woman, placing her hands on her thighs, and grinning softly. "Ah, so Cosima melted the ice queen?" Sandra chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. "Seems like it," she replied. "But that's nice. Vanya's been kinder."
"I guess so," Emmy murmured, laying her head on her chest and wrapping her arms around Sandra's tall body, closing her eyes. "I hope it lasts." Sandra ran her fingers through Emmy's hair, holding her close. "I do too, my sweet girl," she whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of Emmy's head.
God, the benefits of being with an older woman were insane.

"Make that spell bigger!" Warrin yelled, his arms crossed across his chest, watching the blue circle weakly form under Archie's fingertips. The young man closed his eyes tight and clenched his jaw, letting out a loud growl, using all of his force but only managing to extend the circle to his palms at least. Despite his efforts, the spell was still weak and not as powerful as Warrin had hoped for.
"Even a child would do it better and stronger! At least maintain it!" Archie's face turned red with frustration as he struggled to keep the spell intact. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he concentrated harder, trying to muster up more strength.
"Fuck, it burns!" He let go of the spell and held his buzzing fingertips close to his chest. Warrin face palmed his face and then crossed his arms again, hearing the queen's footsteps, as well as that young girl.
He turned his head over his shoulder and saw the brown haired girl laugh near Vanya, covering her mouth shyly. "Vanya!" He called out rather frustrated, and the tall woman arched her eyebrows at him. He made a sign for both of them to come, and Vanya subtly eyed his back.
