Deleted Scene 3: Ever Wonder Why We're Here?

[Takes Place in between scenes of Chapter 12]

While Estelle was sneaking inside, the two guards were still guarding the front porch. One of them started talking.

"Hey," Guard one said.

"Yeah?" Guard two asked.

"...You ever wondered why we're here?"

Guard two was silent for a second until he replied, "...OH DON'T YOU DARE START THAT!"

"Huh? What?"

"Oh don't bullshit me, man! I know exactly where this is going!"

"I-I don't understand! What did I do?"

"You asked, 'You ever wondered why we're here?' and then I'll reply with something deep and philosophical. And you know what's going to happen next?"

"...What?" Guard one asked.

"We end up in a series of events that's full of malarkey and bullshit! One moment we'll be just out here, doing absolutely nothing. Next thing you know, we're out there fighting robots; aliens; mercenaries and who knows, maybe gods themselves!"

"I mean, we're demigods. It's kind of our specialty."

"Specialty?! Dude, we suck! We got this mission because our 'fearless' leader volunteered us for it! The reason HE's not here is because one of our own accidentally ran him over with a GODDAMN Tesla Cyber Truck... WHILE IT'S ON FIRE AND PLAYING THAT GOD DAMN MUSIC!"

"Yeah he really should've known not to add scented candles in a car. Also, we really need to fix the computer on the truck when we get back. Still don't understand what it's saying in Spanish."

"Yet despite what happened, we still had to come to this stupid camp filled with nothing but children trying to impress mommy and daddy!"

"...I mean, aren't we as well?"

"My point is, that once you ask that question, we're going to end up on an adventure filled with nothing but straight up Malarkey that somehow ends up with me getting hit in the balls!"

"Why would you say that?"

"Trust me, life will find a way."

Meanwhile, somewhere in the forest, we find two Greek demigods spying on the roman guards.

"What are they doing?" One of them asked.

"What?"

"I said, what are they doing now?"

The other sighed, frustrated.

"They're just standing there and talking. That's what they've been doing since the last time you asked, five minutes ago! And guess what they're going to do five minutes from now? Standing around, and just talking!"

"...Well what are they talking about?"

"I hate you."

As the two Greeks spy on the Romans, Sam was actually watching all of this happening as she waits for Estelle.

Frankly, she's getting hit with nostalgia.

"I'm getting an odd sense of deja vu here," Sam said,

"Hey, Greeks!" One of the roman guards responded, preferably the lazy one. "Stop spying on us, it's creepy!"

"Yeah! Suck it, Greeks!"

Later on, Estelle shows up.

"Hey Sam, I'm back, what'd I miss?" Estelle asked.

"...Nothing much... just a bunch of guys standing around and talking."

"...Okay? Not sure how that can be interesting."

"I don't know, you'd be surprised," Sam replied.

Estelle scoffed, "Come on, Sam. Who in their right mind would want to watch a bunch of guys just standing around and talking?"

Sam pondered a bit and replied, "...I do..."

Estelle sighed, "God damn it, Sam."

So... I watched the final season of Red vs. Blue (Totally recommend watching it, it's pretty fun to watch) after rewatching all of their seasons. I'm currently an emotional time bomb at the moment but I'll get back to normal shortly. I hope you enjoyed this deleted scene, I actually wanted to write this a while back but it wasn't until AFTER I finished writing this. So I rewatched the series (I'm starting to regret it now but I'll be fine) so that I can be accurate on their personalities and references. Fun fact, I once thought of a PJO AU of RvB in the past but I never could figure out how to do it. Now I can think of a couple of things; obviously it'd be called Romans vs Greek.
