The busy streets of Seoul aren't as safe as they used to be. The expressions of the citizens are like they're traumatized, and it's because of the increasing cases of the night killer; no one has found him till now. He's been roaming in the city for a month now. The police officers eventually gave up because the case seemed to be a mafia case, risking their lives.

Officer Noah was in charge of this case, but after getting no positive response, all of them eventually gave up. He was one of the most well-known officers of all time, who never lost any case before.

Scarlet sits on the couch of her small house, changing channels, and finally stops when a news channel is displayed on the screen, grabbing her attention.

" A new dead body was found near the xxx street, according to the report from Officer Noah, it's the same case of the night killer, leaving no evidence behind. The killer is still roaming in the streets freely, making everyone afraid of walking alone at night, will the police ever find this- "

Scarlet turns off the television before the girl reporting the news could complete her sentence.

It's not the first time hearing this news; what's surprising here is that no one ever found evidence related to him. She takes a deep breath, calming her nerves, placing her mug of coffee back on the small coffee table beside her couch.

Collecting her thoughts back to all the events that happened till now, she is a very workaholic person, never sacrificing her time for herself but always spending it on her work because she takes it as her topmost priority.

Sometimes, she thinks of just getting married and starting her life as a simple housewife, but her passion for being an officer distracts her mind. Getting up from the couch, she grabs the empty coffee and places it on the sink in the kitchen.

Her parents died a long ago, and being the only child of her parents, she was left behind.

When this case started, Scarlet was busy with her other work, and she refused to handle this one, afterward handing it to Noah, who's a well-known partner of hers.

Just then, the sound of her phone call grabs her attention. She immediately receives the call

" Hello?"

" Officer Scarlet, sorry for disturbing you at this hour, I hope you're doing fine.." the male voice replies to her greeting from the other side of the phone

" Yeah, may I know the reason for this sudden call? "

The other person hesitates for a moment and continues " You know why I called you. "

She sighs, well known about what he's referring to " What about that case now? "

" It has been closed for more than two weeks now, the killer is roaming on the streets freely- "
