"You're so on!"

Daya turned to Bosco, exitement nearly oozing out of her body. As if the morning couldn't get any better; Bosco loves the fact that she's dating a werewolf, and now Daya gets to show her her favorite part of her half-life.

"Are you ready for this, Bos?"

Bosco wasn't exactly sure, but there was no way she was turning this down, whatever this was, seeing how happy it made Daya. She met her gaze with the same amount of exitement buzzing under her skin.

"Hell yeah, I am!"

Daya turned and marched over to Crystal, Crystal meeting her in the middle of the clearing. Gigi and Bosco stood behind their partners on either side.

"If I win I get my dessert back, plus yours."

"If I win I get your dessert for an extra three days."

"Deal."

They shook hands firmly. They chose a different location to race to, unspeakingly agreeing that they should avoid the place that called to them. Instead of the waterfall, they would go to where the river paralleled where they stood, like a finish line. First one to cross wins.

Deciding not to go for the quick start like before, Crystal and Daya lined up next to each other in their wolf forms. They crouched down, acting like a step for Gigi and Bosco to get up on their shoulders.

When Gigi sat, Crystal shifted between each paw, getting used to the new weight that sat on top of her. She turned her head to the side to look up at Gigi, seeing if she was alright, or frightened in any way. Satisfied with the look of thrill on her face, Crystal straightened out, ready to run.

Daya, feeling comfortable with Bosco on her shoulders, slightly bent into a wolf's runners pose. She felt Bosco grip onto her fur for balance. She glanced over to Crystal, meeting her eye.

Ready?

Crystal nodded once.

Three.

Two.

One.

Paws scraped the ground.

Go!

They took off, dirt flying up behind them.

Bosco and Gigi both screamed small cries of surprised joy.

Crystal allowed her senses to take over, taking in the sight of the trees blurring past her, the smells flying by, and Gigi squealing with delight. She heard paws thrumming behind her and kicked up her speed, not about to let Daya pass her up.

Daya was fueled by Bosco's loud laughs of exhilaration. She pushed off of the ground, leaping and bounding between trees and bushes. She wasn't about to let her larger size keep her from getting her dessert back. She leaped over a large root and barked in joy.

She looked back and caught the eye of Bosco, who looked like she was having the best time of her life. Daya's heart swelled, happy knowing that this part of her was already so adored by her girlfriend. With fresh motivation, she kicked it into high gear, eyes set on the form of her sister not too far in front of her.
