𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙧

chapter 8

a killing curse being struck towards talia quickly brought her back to reality as she thought about draco and ran. luckily for her, however, someone blocked it and shoved the deatheater down. when she looked up, she saw ron, harry and hermione standing here.

tal waked up to them and hugged them immediately. the last time they saw each other was the fire before draco pulled her away.

hermione saved her life.

"i was just looking for you guys. hermione, you saved my life. and you two.."

she looked at harry and ron. they thought they were about to get yelled at.

"you saved blaise and draco's. even after we got into that fight."

she pointed her wand to a deatheater behind them, knocking him to the ground.

"you're our friend, talia." ron said. hermione nodded and smiled.

"you would've done it for me." she explained, wrapping her arms around talia again.

"i'm so happy you're okay." hermione went on. talia hugged her tight, harry hitting another deatheater.

"the snake. it's the last horcrux." she said. harry nodded.

"nagini. we find the snake, we find him."

tal sucked in a breath. everything that was happening was all coming down to one thing; coming face to face with voldemort.

"right. let's go, then."

the four ran down a staircase to outside of the castle, ducking and avoiding spells along the way.  a giant saw them and started walking over, holding what looked like a huge torch. they stopped and ran the other way frantically.

they ducked behind a broken piece of rubble to hide for a moment before giant spiders appeared, heading right for them. there was no choice but for them to run headfirst in the fighting.

hermione and talia ran through the giant's legs, talia throwing spells in whatever direction they came.

eventually, the four found each other and ran along an outside open corridor of the castle. the giant was still nearby, but they all stopped when they saw who talia recognized as fenrir greyback eating the corpse of lavender brown.

talia had to choke back getting sick. hermione lifted her wand and threw him in the concrete wall behind him.

the giant let out a roar, causing them to keep running. it destroyed pieces of hogwarts in his path. eventually, they made it towards the main entrance of the school. dementors flying towards them made them pause like a deer in headlights.

they thought they were screwed, until a bright blue light flashed. a powerful shield pushed the dementors away. when they turned, they saw aberforth dumbledore standing there. he saved them.

but there was no time to thank him. instead, ron, talia and hermione followed harry in the direction he last saw voldemort and nagini. they continued to the side of the castle where no one was fighting by the shrieking shack. when they got there, the students were out of breath and panting, but were forced to be quiet as they hid.

talia could hear the snake hissing. she kneeled by harry, low to the ground but looking in the window of the stained glass. there, voldemort and snape were standing.

"there is no one more powerful. ollivander himself has said it. tonight, when the boy and the girl comes, it will not fail you. i am sure of it. it answers to you, and you only." snape assured. talia and harry made eye contact, but quickly diverted back.
