FIRST MEETING ━━

ETHAN BLAKE WAS ALWAYS MORE OF THE INTROVERTED PERSON WHICH meant he was easily the target of bullying. Now, his mother had forced him to this weird karate dojo stuff. In his opinion it was a clear waste of his time, apparently there was this big tournament going on in a few months so him being here must have been an inconvenience all together. The only thing he knew was how to throw a decent punch, which was barely decent.  The only reason his mom had sent him to this weird, back of someone's house dojo was because apparently the owner and his mother go way back.

He sighed and politely rang the bell, he waited patiently rolling his heels as he waited. The door opened. The man was old, but not to the point where he needed a walking stick. Ethan gave him an awkward smile which Daniel returned just as awkwardly, this was off to an awesome start already.

"Umh- I'm Ethan Blake, my mom said I needed to go here for karate lessons." Ethan explained with a faint blush on his cheeks out of embarrassment. Daniel his eyes immediately softened, he offered him a genuine smile now.

"Yes! Yes, I forgot about that. Come inside, we have a lot of muscle training to do." He explained calmly as he stepped away from the door, Ethan nodded and complied. He took off his shoes and looked at Daniel expectantly.

"How has your mother been?" He asked as he started to take the teen his jacket which felt odd but he let it happen. Ethan smiled, he despised small talk. He knew Daniel meant well but he never understood why old people never gathered the courage to message each other privately instead of sending their children out like pigeons from the old age.

"She's doing great, dad and her are expanding the business apparently." Ethan explained with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He had never understood business, never cared for it anyways. His main interest at the moment was psychology, which was apart from painting also his only interest. Daniel nodded, a glimpse of a wide smile on his lips. As they talked Ethan heard other footsteps head their direction.

Ethan looked up, that boy was pretty. Very pretty. Anthony looked confused at the new person but shrugged it off, "Dad, I think I lost my gi." Anthony spoke slightly worried, Daniel shook his head as if he had expected this.

"No, I put it in the laundry. It smelled almost as bad as your shoes do," Daniel insulted. Anthony glared at his dad,

"Have you ever smelled your feet?" He responded with a tone of sass. Daniel chuckled before waving him off, "I have a new student to train, go upstairs." He spoke dismissively.

Anthony his eyes widened, Ethan couldn't blame him. He alone looked like someone who barely had any muscle to survive. Ethan had messy hair with big eyes, his clothes were a mix of baggy jeans and blouses, he had glasses on right now but he hated them. "What- dad right before the tournament?" He asked flabbergasted.

Daniel sighed, hating that he was now arguing with his son in front of Ethan. "Yes, I owe his mom a favour." He explained looking at him for a second. Ethan gave an awkward smile towards Anthony, which the boy narrowed his eyes at before returning it, looking possibly even worse.

Anthony sighed and just headed towards what Ethan thought to be the living. Now, the boy wouldn't say he felt poor in here, but he definitely felt poor. It wasn't like he had nothing. He was middle class, decent house, decent clothes and enough money for weird hobbies of his but this made him feel poor. The fact that his mom had told him an entire dojo could fire into his back yard said a lot. Daniel turned back to the boy and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Sorry about that, that's my son, Anthony." He explained as he ran his fingers through his hair. "You will probably be seeing my children more often," Daniel explained. Ethan nodded, his eyes still admiring the beautiful place his now sensei got to call home.

Daniel had led Ethan towards the bathroom and gave him a karate gi, he was surprised how well it fit him. That was probably his mom her doings. He was slightly frustrated at the fact that she made him do karate, he wasn't passionate about this at all. This was never the plan before he had gotten bullied, his mom always let him have the hobbies he enjoyed but now due stupid insufferable bullies he was forced to take this. He was very bad at sports, and he quite literally has less muscles than a child. Ethan was going to suffer, a lot.

Ethan walked towards the garden, it was massive. Now he definitely felt poor.
